Hidden Gems: Meet Baden Jaxen of Pup Park Shuttle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Baden Jaxen.

Hi Baden, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I tore my Achilles during my 12th season of my basketball career. As I was in the bed healing, I found myself on TikTok scrolling and happened to see a similar concept from a company in Canada. I called them and asked if they would be willing to franchise out here in North Carolina. They said “no” in the politest way. That was the blessing I needed. When I hung up the phone I went to Facebook market and started to search for a bus. Found one in West Virginia, drove down and bought it on the spot. Took it home and began to paint the outside while decorating the interior. Took me about 2 months to complete. Raleigh is a great market and knew it would be a success, so we choose to have our first location to be there. We are now currently expanding throughout NC and the throughout the country. We are now painting our 2nd bus that will be going in Chapel Hill.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There’s no light without dark, so of course you have your ups and downs but to be honest, for the this company to only be incorporated for 6 months it’s been a big success! The feedback we get have been 98% positive! We are truly grateful for the trust and support we’ve been able to attain here in the Raleigh community!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Pup Park Shuttle is a mobile dog adventure service based in Raleigh, North Carolina that picks up pups from their homes and takes them on curated outdoor adventures to parks, trails, and lakes, then drops them back off happy, tired, and fulfilled. Think of us as the school bus meets summer camp, but for dogs.

We specialize in group outings that give dogs the physical exercise and socialization they crave, while giving their parents peace of mind during the workday. Our routes are carefully designed, and each outing includes multiple park visits, on-leash hikes, off-leash play in secure areas.

What sets us apart is the experience. From our customized buses to our daily videos and updates, we make every dog feel like a VIP and every parent feel connected. We’re known for building strong community among our pack and our pet parents, it’s not just a service, it’s a lifestyle.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve earned. Pup Park Shuttle has become more than a business, it’s a movement centered around adventure, care, and genuine love for dogs.

We’re currently expanding throughout North Carolina and preparing to bring this joy to dogs across the country. At the heart of everything we do is simple: more dogs, more nature, more joy.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is the pure joy people feel when they see Shuttle rolling by, it’s become a symbol of fun, freedom, and care. But even deeper than that, this business fills a real gap. So many dog parents love their pups dearly, but life, work, and energy levels can make it hard to give their dogs what they truly need. That creates stress and guilt.

We step in and take that weight off their shoulders. And when you look at it on a larger scale, a happy dog leads to a happy parent, a happy parent creates a happy household, and happy households build healthier communities. That ripple effect is where my joy truly comes from.
