Hidden Gems: Meet Brittany Lane of Coach B Unlimited

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Lane.

Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I came to Raleigh, NC in 2015 after completing my collegiate career as a Softball Player at Winston Salem State University where I won 2 CIAA Championship Titles as well as Woman of the Year.

As an athlete, I found that I enjoyed working with young girls who wanted to enhance their athletic development. I quickly became a part of St. Augustine’s coaching staff and was a part of their CIAA Championship Team in Spring 2015.

My goals expanded in 2016 as I began a career in Corporate Engagement. I had access to many Start-Up companies and found it very intriguing to help companies define who they were and to help them expand their brand.

Knowing that I was a Female Entrepreneur who served in the athletic space, I knew that there were women out there that want to build themselves into well-balanced beings. I began meeting women and helping them create a life that they are proud of from the inside out. In 2020, I rebranded myself as a Lifestyle and Brand Coach where I offer Personal Wellness on one side of the brand and Marketing/Design services on the other side.

My dream has always been to help women grow into their best-desired version of themselves. In our community, I help women build their bodies, find a balanced lifestyle with their eating habits, and even offer consulting services for those who have small businesses or entrepreneurial ventures.

It is a blessing to be in the North Carolina market as a Lifestyle and Brand Coach who can help women who are working so hard to build lives they are proud of.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not always been easy. For me, there have been so many opportunities for me to give back and help the community.

I had to learn that every opportunity is not one that I should take on. I learned that it is important to know your specific audience, understand your value, and don’t be afraid to turn something down if it isn’t the right fit.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Coach B Unlimited is the brand that allows me to work in two separate aspects of life; Personal and Business.

On the Personal Development side, I work with women who are interested in personal growth and development through personal training and nutrition services. On the Marketing/Design side, I work with entrepreneurs who are looking to build their brand through social media marketing, web design, and branding.

I am very proud that after 7 years of focusing on what I want to do, I have found the audience I love servicing and the services that I am confident to offer. My goal for every woman out there is for them to know that we all need balance. We may not always know where to start but through my services and free consultation offer I can help individuals find that starting point to reach their specific goal.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
It’s okay to say ‘No’.

I always felt that as a female in my specific industries there was this pressure to take on more and more to feel like I was accomplishing something. I learned that ‘No’ had to become a part of my vocabulary if I really wanted to be successful. It’s not always the number of people you serve as it is the quality of work you’re serving to those who buy from you.

At the end of the day, I’d rather take on 5 clients and provide top tier services that take on 10 and not be able to give them the attention or quality of service they’re paying for,
