Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Lanier.
Hi Brittany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ever since the 90’s when seeing Coko with the long red nails, I knew I wanted nothing but long nails and a lot of jewelry to wear around my wrist, my fingers and my neck 😂. As I got older, that wasn’t reality. I began to work work work regular jobs and my nail tech at the time who had also became a friend told me I should try to do nails. I stayed coming to her with different looks I wanted and I had kept my nails done since the age of 15 never running out of Ideas. So I worked my full-time job and went to nail school passed got my nail technician license for the state of NC and I’m still building today with the hopes of quitting my job very soon.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel like you never get too old to do things however when you now have real bills like house, car, etc., you can’t afford to quit your job so you have to stay committed which gets hard working from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and going to nail school from 5:30pm-9:30pm Monday -Thursday and 8am-4:30pm on Saturday’s you get tired but you have to stay focused and determined especially starting out with nails because your work isn’t going to be as good as those you see on social media but eventually you build to that.
