Today we’d like to introduce you to De’Lisa Stringer
Hi De’Lisa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My passion for design was sparked during a 15-year career in commercial construction where I spent time collaborating with designers, architects, and engineers while working alongside some amazing builders. After managing complex projects for many years inside of a corporate structure, I had a desire to build the type of work environment where my passion intersected with purpose. I have a long line of builders throughout my family which influenced me to become a builder. As my career progressed, I developed skillsets on the operations side of the business yet I found myself wanting to understand how design impacts lives. As time went on I invested more of my time into design meetings to better understand design principles while I continued my operations responsibilities. I believe my path as a builder has made me a better and more intuitive designer. Today, I’m a builder beyond the job site. I’m grateful that I get to do work I love, deliver exceptional results, and create a meaningful experiences for my clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had many challenges along the way as I imagine many business owners do. It’s challenging to secure and execute work when you are a small firm. I was used to working in a large scale environment where everyone had a swim lane and there was an abundance of resources when it came to staffing, technology, and capital. I’ve learned that staying resourceful and nimble is key. It has helped me deal with situations and make decisions that are in strategic alignment with who we are as a company and the value we provide to our clients.

Our firm delivers turn-key interior design services from furniture sourcing to remodeling to new construction with a mission to transform spaces to elevate, enhance, and inspire everyday experiences. What I’ve learned over the years is that the environment shapes our perspective. It’s important that we take stock of our surroundings and position ourselves – as much as within our control– in spaces and places that energize us, bring out the best in us, and promote better well-being. I work with my clients to design balanced and peaceful spaces where they find renewal and harmony. What differentiates my firm is our level of customization which provides our clients with an immersive concierge experience. Having a balanced background in construction has served me well and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Being able to connect with others through the work I do brings a greater level of satisfaction.

Absolutely! I invest a lot of my time reading books and listening to podcasts about entrepreneurship, leadership, and mindset.
