Hi Emily, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was first introduced to Arbonne in 2007 through a friend who had invited me to a shopping event. I had no idea this was a business opportunity! I am that friend that loves to shop and is a product junkie so Arbonne was a natural fit.
I had been a preschool teacher and an office manager before hearing about this business opportunity. I was planning my wedding and deciding what to do about employment due to a layoff when I attended my first Arbonne presentation. I loved the products and upon hearing my friend had signed up, I signed up under her to build my business. I thought this would be just something to do while I wasn’t working a nine to five job but within a short time, I signed up my first business partner and mentored her with her business. This brought me to my first promotion and pay raise with the company! Since then, I have signed up numerous business partners and helped many clients gain health and confidence through using our products. It has also provided me additional income while being a stay home mom to two children.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Not at all! There are so many struggles to being an entrepreneur! For one- you’re your own boss which means nobody is going to make sure you show up to work, do it on time or do it consistently. It takes discipline and a strong work ethic. I feel like I have both but with running this business while raising two children and being a stay home mom…life isn’t predictable! So just when you have a schedule and routine, something changes and you have to pivot! Whether that is a big, long-term change or just a change in schedule for that day you have to be able to go with the flow. Second, you need a thick skin as people will criticize you, not care about your business and you’ll get people that tell you no, whether it’s no to hearing about this business or no to using your products, you have to know that they are not your client, don’t take it personally and move on to the next person. Also, just when you get some momentum with building a team, someone on your team decides to quit and you need to be constantly building. Life happens and everyone has different challenges so you need to be consistently working toward finding new clients and business partners even on those days you don’t feel like working!

Arbonne is a multilevel marketing/network marketing company in the health and wellness field. We have products for men, women and children from skincare to nutrition supplements. The culture of this company is supportive and positive with our goal being to help people get healthy, gain confidence and build a business through mentoring. One of the biggest ways would be to support our movement of getting healthy from within! Using clean beauty products and building up our health from within with clean nutrition products and getting a healthy gut to support their immune system. Me personally- support would mean collaborating/sharing on social media the message of the company and the products. This is an amazing income for a stay at home mom, college student or anyone looking to increase their earning potential either through a “side gig” or wanting to replace an income. Also, introducing the products to like-minded people to make the brand more well known.
