Hidden Gems: Meet Hailey Hatley of In With The Skin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hailey Hatley.

Hi Hailey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started In With The Skin during a season of major personal transition, but the foundation for it had been building for years. I bring over seven years of hands-on experience treating skin in a medical setting, and more than a decade of passion for skincare as both a science and an art. Throughout my career, I’ve treated all major skin concerns across all skin tones, which deeply shaped my approach. My goal was to build a business that blends expertise with warmth, integrity, and individualized care. It’s a place where results matter, but so does how a client feels in the process.

I opened my studio from the ground up as a solo entrepreneur, with no safety net other than belief and a very clear vision: to offer results-driven, natural, minimally invasive treatments in a space where women feel seen, educated, and empowered rather than “fixed.” I focus on collagen-stimulating treatments, skin barrier health, and long-term results, not trends or quick fixes. Building the business meant doing everything myself, learning as I went, and trusting that consistency and integrity would speak louder than perfection.

Today, In With The Skin has grown into a community-centered studio serving women who want to age playfully and confidently. What I’m most proud of isn’t just the growth of the business, but the relationships formed inside it. My work is as much about skin as it is about creating space for women to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and feel supported, and that mission continues to guide every step forward.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business from scratch meant learning how to wear every hat at once: service provider, marketer, administrator, educator, and owner, often while navigating personal change at the same time. There were moments of real uncertainty, especially in the early stages, where I questioned whether I was doing enough, growing fast enough, or making the “right” decisions.

One of the biggest challenges was stepping away from everything I had achieved previously – and rebuilding from scratch. Building a client base from the ground up required patience and consistency, and there were times when progress felt slow and very personal. One of the most meaningful parts of the journey has been building a client base made up of incredibly kind, bright, and fun people, individuals who genuinely energize and inspire me. That sense of community pushes me to continue learning, refining my craft, and showing up better each day, so I can offer them an even higher level of care in return.

That said, every challenge refined the business and strengthened my confidence. The struggles clarified what mattered most: integrity, quality of care, and building something sustainable and aligned. Looking back, the difficult moments weren’t detours, they were foundational in shaping the studio into what it is today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about In With The Skin?
In With The Skin is a results-driven skincare studio rooted in education, integrity, and long-term skin health. I specialize in collagen-stimulating and skin-restorative treatments that support the skin’s natural function rather than working against it. My approach is grounded in science-backed training, but delivered in a calm, intentional setting where care is never rushed and every treatment is tailored.

I’m known for taking a thoughtful, barrier-first approach and for treating all skin tones and concerns with the same level of precision and respect. Whether a client is addressing acne, hyperpigmentation, aging, sensitivity, or simply wants to better understand their skin, my goal is always sustainable results, not quick fixes or trends. Education is a major part of what I do, because empowered clients make better decisions for their skin long-term.

What sets In With The Skin apart is the combination of clinical expertise and genuine connection. I’ve created a space where clients feel safe asking questions, slowing down, and being seen as a whole person, not just a skin concern. The studio is intentionally inclusive: welcoming women of all ages, skin tones, and backgrounds, and designed to feel both elevated and approachable.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the trust that’s been built. Many of my clients come through referrals, which speaks to the consistency and care behind the work. I’m proud that the brand has grown organically, rooted in word-of-mouth and real results, without compromising its values.

I want readers to know that In With The Skin isn’t about perfection or anti-aging in the traditional sense, it’s about aging playfully, supporting the skin through every stage, and creating a relationship with skincare that feels informed, confident, and sustainable.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
My friends like to describe me as a walking contradiction. I’m outgoing and social at work, but deeply introverted in most other settings. I work in beauty, yet I’ll choose a weekend camping and hiking in the mountains of NC over almost anything. I love the rhythm of my small-town, and I have found my home in this community, but I thrive on big-city energy whenever I can get it. I think that balance of opposites keeps me grounded and creatively inspired, and it shows up in how I care for my clients.
