Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Bell.
Hi Jacqueline, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my name is Jacqueline Bell. I began my entrepreneur journey in 2007, where I started my first residential home for adolescents. As of today, my company was afforded the opportunity to run a crisis residential for adolescent boys and girls in partnership with a major organization. Through my journey, I have stepped into the real estate world and built a nice portfolio. Today, I am the proud franchisee for Epic Wings brand, Epic Wings originated in California, I am the first franchisee on the East Coast. I have signed contract agreements to bring five Epic Wings stores to North Carolina, with the possibility to add more. My first location is under construction and will be opening January 2024.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey hasn’t been a smooth journey, there have been many ups and downs along the way. I am a determined person and don’t give up easily, so I was able to push through the obstacles to where I am today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the President of JSSK Enterprise, Inc. We are doing business as Epic Wings. I manage the everyday operations, management is one of my strong points; I also like start-up businesses. Savin Grace LLC is a business I started in 2007 and watched it grow into a huge success. I am known for giving back, mentoring, and helping people that are serious about getting into business, whether it’s group home start-ups, real estate or how did I become a franchisee. I share my knowledge; however, the person has to want it and make a commitment to process and their goals.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My family and my mentor are my biggest support system. I believe having a mentor in business is extremely important. I can reach out to my mentor for guidance, and he would say, no don’t do that; it’s not a good idea, you need to pivot and explain why, he wouldn’t allow me to jump into something because “I” think it’s a good idea. I credit him for getting me involved with the Epic Wings franchise as he has over 30 locations amongst other successful businesses. My family keeps me grounded and are there for me when I have those not-so-good experiences when I want to give up; they help me push through the pain. Knowing I have an awesome support network makes things so much easier to deal with in all aspects of life.
