Hidden Gems: Meet Kimberly Hatfield of K Latrice Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Hatfield.

Hi Kimberly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I always had a passion for fashion. As a child, I used to draw and design clothes and wanted to be a fashion designer.

When I went to college I wanted to study fashion design however my dad talked me into studying Business Administration which would lead me to a career in Finance which I have been working on ever since. However, I could never get over my passion for fashion so I first started a business called “BeatBox” where I did makeup and personal styling but I soon would put that on hold when I was faced with health issues.

After overcoming that and other life-changing obstacles I worked, went back to get my Master’s Degree, and focused on my career. Still never losing my passion for fashion I decided after Covid to open up a boutique. I had a lot of time to reflect on when the world seemed to be ending. I didn’t want anything to happen to me before fulfilling my passion and dreams. That was the beginning of K Latrice Boutique.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s been a smooth road. Some struggles have been getting our name out there and balancing working full-time in Finance and trying to build a business all while being a wife and mom.

I am one that doesn’t know a lot of people in this area and doesn’t have a huge following on social media so letting the world know that K Latrice Boutique is here and ready to sell them some cute and classy clothing, I have had to be creative with.

We’ve been impressed with K Latrice Boutique, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
K Latrice Boutique offers women’s clothing and accessories at a great price point. We pride ourselves in quality and try to include something for women of all sizes. What sets us apart is our clothing and style are classy and we have some timeless pieces.

I want the readers to know that we try to cater to everyone of all shapes and sizes. We want customers to receive their merchandise as soon as possible so we normally ship out the next day. K Latrice Boutique pride itself on providing great customer service.

We all have different ways of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as doing what you love every day and what you are passionate about. Success is loving and being loved. Happiness plays a big part in my success to me as well. Success is meeting a range of expectations or goals.

It’s having a sense of achievement.
