Hidden Gems: Meet Kira Myers of House on the Hill Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kira Myers.

Kira, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My husband and I purchased a home in Apex in February of 2020. About 1 month later, the country was in lock down and I found that I had a lot more time on my hands. Our home was a blank slate and very “builder beige” so I started adding color with paint, one room at a time. I got to our powder room, but decided paint wasn’t the answer. After scouring the internet, magazines and various design books, I decided on a bold wallpaper from Milton & King. It was tough, but the outcome was well worth it! I completed 2 other installs in my home and 3 installs in my Mom’s home. I was hooked! I began posting on social media, started booking clients and House on the Hill Interiors was born.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Maintaining a work life balance as an entrepreneur, wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend (and the list goes on) is always a challenge. Juggling it all isn’t easy, but with prayer, support of family, friends and wonderful clients, I make it work.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
House on the Hill Interiors specializes in wallpaper installation, paint color consultation and interior decorating. I partner with vendors in the area on larger scale projects. Otherwise, I’m a one woman show when it comes to your home decor needs. I offer a unique experience that other paint contractors and wallpaper installers do not. I’m here to help you select your dream wallpaper and paint colors! Undertones, bold, neutrals, color trends, moody, transitional or farmhouse, whatever your style, I’m here to make your house, your home!

What matters most to you? Why?
Transforming spaces beyond what my clients could have imagined is most important to me. I want my clients to live in a home that they absolutely love. Even it means walking into a wallpapered linen closet and just loving it because wallpaper brought it to life and it makes them happy. I want them to see and feel a uniqueness that is their own.
