Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Anna Ossa.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Partners & Grapes started as an idea between two college friends. My friend Nathalie and I were having wine in a bar in Barcelona, Spain, wondering if we would have an awful headache the next day, which we did.

It turns out that the headache comes from the sugar, sulfites, and other additives added to certain wines. Knowing we were not the only ones with the same problem, we offered the solution by bringing our organic wine to America. Our wines are organic and vegan certified with no added sugar or sulfites.

We launched in South Carolina about 7 months ago and are now expanding into North Carolina.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
At first, the pandemic and everything that came with it presented us with a lot of challenges, but we overcame those challenges. Wine is heavily regulated, so we needed several licenses and permits to operate in South Carolina.

Before expanding, you must research the requirements in every state. As a result, the shipments from Spain have been delayed. A few months ago, Nathalie and I disbanded our partnership, and I now own the company as a whole, which wasn’t an easy decision to make.

Partners and Grapes is a Latina and woman-owned boutique wine company on a mission to create a cleaner and healthier wine-drinking experience.

Our wines are organic and vegan certified, with no added sugar or sulfites. Our goal is to be more than just a wine company; we want to be a platform that celebrates and supports women worldwide.
