Hidden Gems: Meet Patricia Valdivieso-Cloës of Far&Away Interior Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Valdivieso-Cloës.

Hi Patricia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Patricia Valdivieso-Cloës, born and raised in Argentina. I went to school in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Lille, Lyon, and Paris, France. I have lived in Boston, and most recently settled with my husband and my teens in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Yes, I come from Far&Away!

I bring with me a blend of cultures and languages, and I hope I can guide you Far&Away too!

Throughout my life I have been dedicated to caring for people… I’m a physician who has worked in intensive care units for many years while styling my home and the ones of my friends and family. In 2014, I started a “new era in my life” to help people. Otherwise, I decided to complete a degree in interior design in France (CREAD Pro).

Maybe you’re thinking, “that is very different,” but for me, it isn’t, because my goal is still the same: I’m helping people to enhance the way they live, now by making the most out of people’s space. My style is inspired by the different places I’ve lived and traveled (Europe, Africa, and the Americas), which give my own signature look. I love to mix up styles, however, my design is still simple, fresh, functional, and modern.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Reinventing myself has been a challenge -indeed, moving from being an ICU physician to an Interior Designer has been an interesting pathway. Luckily, the common thread has been my strong will to make people’s lives better and more fulfilled, and that’s what pulled me through the change process.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Far&Away Interior Design?
My passion is to create a perfect portrait of who you are, how you live, and what you love in a modern and accessible way. My main technique: Blending contemporary and vintage, high-end and budget-friendly, all while adding DIY pieces in order to reflect your and your family’s lifestyle where you can spend a good time together and make lasting memories.

I will help you unlock your signature style to transform your house into a home. With my help, I can guide you to identify what your space needs with the furniture you already have or want to have. Better yet, you will save time and money by avoiding self-doubt and hesitation: I’ll make your interior design decisions quick and easy while staying within your budget.

I provide In-Home and E-Design Services, along with Home staging and 3D Render. Every design project starts with a complete and detailed questionnaire, where the client shares with me what they love and describe their lifestyles and design predilections.

In addition, we can work together wherever you live, and chat in English, Spanish or French! Do you like Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, Hygee, Boho, Vintage, and Industrial… all together? Great, we share the same “craziness!”

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Surprisingly, Interior design projects don’t necessarily imply a huge investment. I can work with whatever budget you’ll have available for your project -whether high-end or just a retouch here and there, I’m here to make your dream come true.
