Hidden Gems: Meet Randy Coggins II of Echo Church

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Coggins II.

Randy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up as a Pastor’s kid! All of my childhood, I always heard that “Pastor’s Kids” are the WORST! Well, I think my parents did a pretty good job raising me and my siblings! We weren’t perfect BUT we all turned out PRETTY GOOD! LOL.

I received and accepted the call from God to preach/minister at the age of 12 years old. Not long after that, I preached my very first sermon at my father’s church in Northeast GA. I was officially ordained into the ministry by my Father in 2014 at the age of 18.

I don’t really like to name-drop and say everything that I have done and the places I have had the privilege of going to but since you asked. Through the years of 2015-2020, I traveled and ministered to around 80-100 services a year on average. I have ministered for and shared the stage with well-known Pastor, Gospel/Christian Artists, and Speakers such as Pastor Rod Parsley, Dr. T.L. Lowery, Judy Jacobs, Bishop Marvin Winans Sr., Clint Brown, Bishop Brandon Porter, Donnie Mcclurkin, Bishop TD Jakes, and many more.

I am the founder and host of the “Now Faith” Television broadcast, which can be viewed weekly on Faith Broadcasting Network (FAITH USA – UK – AFRICA) via cable, satellite, and streaming into over 260 million homes. I have also been a Host and Special Guest featured on TBN’s “Praise The Lord” program where he is the “Youngest” Host in the History of Trinity Broadcasting Network and also has been seen on the TCT Network as a Guest & Host for Triangle Alive.

I have been featured on Bishop TD Jakes’s newest reality TV show: “The Gospel” Season 2 which aired in the spring of 2020! Along with ministry, I am gifted and skilled in the area of business and personal development, I love to coach and help people get to where they want to be in life whether it’s ministry, business, or just life in general by showing them the proper skills, steps, and principles that I have learned from having direct access to some of the worlds most successful and brilliant minds in the world of ministry and business.

My wife, Kharie, and I are currently ordained ministers through “City Harvest Network” under the leadership of Pastor Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church in Columbus, OH. Besides his national rally’s here in America, his recent travels have taken me to Canada, South Africa, Barbados, and the Bahamas for International speaking opportunities.

My family and I now reside in the beautiful city of Raleigh, NC where we are the lead pastors of Echo Church. We launched/planted Echo Church in the heart of Raleigh, NC in September 2020. Randy II and Kharie are the parents of two beautiful children, Randy Lamar III (5 years old), Mia Isabella (3year-old), Baby #3 are set to arrive in May 2022!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I truly believe that anything ever worth having is NEVER easy getting!

While growing up in ministry as a Pastor’s kid, stepping into ministry/business at a very early age, getting married, and having children considerable young all brought its own set of obstacles/challenges BUT the key to making it through each and every one of them was simply by FAITH!

I live off of the quote “I Believe God” — If you have the power enough to believe it, God has the power enough to do it! So it is simply saying that no matter what happens in my life, no matter what difficulties come my way, I am not going to give up on the dream, vision, business, ministry, lifestyle, etc. that I know God has called me to have.

This was instilled in me by my parents and I have never wavered from it!

We’ve been impressed with Echo Church, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My wife, Kharie, and I are the Lead Pastors of Echo Church. Echo Church is a non-denominational, Christian church based in Raleigh, NC. The Vision of our church is “Transforming Lives, Impacting Communities” In the late summer of 2020 we started/launched Echo Church with a small handful of about 20 people or so here in Raleigh after moving from Florida.

Since then we have grown to where now we are averaging 75-80 people in person, not counting all of our e-church partners that watch online from around the world every single Sunday! We have been able to not only grow within the walls of our church but also grow/reach out into our community by being able to give away thousands of dollars assisting people with bill pays, food, gift/gas cards, homeless outreaches, etc.

We also recently partnered with the Lt. Governor’s office in assisting the Western North Caroline Flood Victims where we saw hundreds of people donate necessary items to help those that were impacted by the recent tropical wave this past summer. We currently meet every Sunday at 10 am, for more information about our Church check us out at echoraleigh.com or via Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. (Links can be found on our site).

At Echo Church we have what is called our “CODE” — The “Echo Code” are 5 key values that our church goes by:

ECHO CODE: (our values)

1. God is SUPREME. First things first, God is SUPREME.

2. This is HOME. This house is where you belong.

3. Excellence period! God deserves our best

4. We make deposits, not withdrawals. We give, even when it hurts.

5. Serving beyond limits. We go above and beyond.

WE HAVE A BIG VISION AT ECHO CHURCH AND WE TRULY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
As a child, my favorite memory was doing everything as a family. My parents made sure that for the most part every event, holiday, trip, etc. Were together as a family. We always had fun! Family is very important to me. I remember my parents taking my brothers, sister, and me frequently on trips, vacations, special events, and visiting family, etc.

Those are memories that I think of often and will always remember. It also enables me to want to do more now that I am older and have a family on my own!
