Hidden Gems: Meet Samantha Strazanac of Strazanac Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Strazanac.

Hi Samantha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Strazanac Solutions was started as a hobby to legitimize the marketing services I was already offering to local businesses who were under the impression my services were a favor and deserved no compensation. Within eight months of starting Strazanac Solutions as a part-time hobby on the side, I had so much business I was able to leave my full-time job and pursue Strazanac Solutions full time. Although Strazanac Solutions has grown and adapted, it has never lost sight of its initial target client; small and medium business owners who needed superior marketing services to grow but didn’t have the budget to hire a large agency or in-house marketing associate.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh god no! Being a small business owner in an industry that feels saturated is not easy. It’s like there is a “marketing professional” on every corner, so I work diligently daily to set myself and my company apart from the others. Just because you took a online course or webinar doesn’t mean you are a professional who can justify charging people for your “overnight expertise”.

So one struggle is all the so-called “marketing professionals” who have no experience that I have to compete with the other struggle is when you work with small businesses, many of which are companies with less than five employees, budget is tight…very tight. Having to get creative with their budgets is a daily exercise but one I enjoy, challenging or not. It requires creativity and strategy, two things of which I have and love.

Strazanac Solutions is a marketing and business consulting firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. We have been in business since March 31, 2015. We provide marketing services and business consulting to small and medium businesses across the country. Services offered include full marketing strategy, branding, social media, SEO, content creation, web design, graphic design, and paid-per-click advertising.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Marketing is an industry business will always need, so I don’t foresee it going anywhere, but I do see an influx of small businesses hiring contractors rather than in-house marketing associates. You can get a better value with a contractor and save quite a bit of money too. Contractors and small groups such as Strazanac Solutions can provide the experience and expertise of 6-figure marketing directors without the 6-figure price tag.
