Hi Terry, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I became an entrepreneur in 2004 by starting my own family childcare home. I own Kids Cabin LLC. The biggest thing that I love about being a business owner is being able to use it as a platform to work in my community. This gives me the opportunity to network with other professionals, build culture, and positively impact the community. This is all part of my mission and core values as a childcare owner. I have been honored to work with hospice, veteran services, outreach ministries, health fairs, pop-up shops and more. I teach my students to be kind and give back. I have to be an example for them.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It is not always easy in business! Oprah Winfrey once said, “ Fall down 7 times, get up 8”. This is the power of resilience!

I own Kids Cabin LLC in North Carolina! We are your community family childcare home and also home of Watermelon Fridays!!!! We provide a safe and educational environment for children. We focus on personal growth through social interaction, creative activities, and a well-rounded curriculum. Kids Cabin is committed to providing the highest quality care for children of all ages.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’ll have to say right now my favorite is a planner/journal that I actually created myself. I am focused a lot on business and self-care. I have created a total of seven planners and journals and they’re also featured on Amazon.
