Inspiring Conversations with Althea Jones of Purposed Writings

Today we’d like to introduce you to Althea Jones.

Hi Althea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a young girl I discovered my passion and love for writing which started out as me writing poems, long papers, and letters to my friends. As I grew older I realized the desire and love was something that I wanted to grow. In high school after a high school relationship did not work out my interest to write was sparked so I wanted to write a book to young girls about relationships. After learning about purpose and witnessing to others about Christ I later turned that idea into my first book “Winning Souls for Christ A Guide for Teens and Young Adults. Years later after trying to push that book out I learned more useful information and gained insights that was valuable to what I spoke about in my first book which lead me to revisions. As you can tell my discovery for writing was a process overtime. One to two years later after hearing about business I started to build my buisness by writing several other books and getting my website made which was first named “Purposed Driven Literature” and later turned to “Purposed Writings” and now is a business that host my personal literature and soon will host my clients literature. Along with that I offer services to beginning and aspiring authors who have either began writing their stories or desire to write their own books.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a journey! One that has pushed me beyond and inspired my own creativity.

Purposed Writings is my online bookstore.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice is to “just start”. Do not look left or right expect it is for inspiration of another person. There maybe multiple people with the same business type but “being you”, “being authentic”, and being “set apart” is what makes your business your very own!
