Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Werness.

Hi Chris, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been a Doctor of Chiropractic for 30 years. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck. I undertook a holistic approach to healing and had success. However the cancer was growing too fast and my Holistic Team referred me back to UNC Cancer Hospital to slow the growth. I recovered, yet I was unable to return to Practice due to chronic fatigue and weakness. We researched therapies to get my strength back and came across the SuperHuman Protocol developed by DaVinci Medical. We started the Superhuman Protocol and soon realized this was a true Gamechanger for anyone wanting to transition from sick care to healthcare. Once I fully recovered, my wife (Jill) and I opened BioPeak Health in North Raleigh, North Carolina. We are the only SuperHuman protocol certified Clinic in North Carolina. We are seeing incredible results, not only with patients recovering from debilitating illness, but for those looking to elevate their performance.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being the only facility of our kind in the State, getting the word out has been a challenge. Our goal is to transition Americans from sick care to healthcare. We dedicate a lot of time to education and helping patients understand that building the body’s energy (Mitochondrial Expansion) while boosting immunity, is the best way to avoid disease.

Our Metabolic Lab (PNOE) is one of two in the State. Metabolic Testing is one of the cutting edge data points we employ to test VO2 Max, Biological Age, 23 Biomarkers as well as longevity. The American Heart Association considers this test to be the GOLD standard for longevity. Testing for individual data allows us to avoid guessing what the patient needs. Spinal Isolation Disc Decompression is a non-invasive treatment for disc injuries, numbness and chronic spinal pain. This therapy is more specific than general Decompression Therapies in that our Physician can spend the entire treatment isolating the injured disc vs providing a general decompression of the area.
Patients get better faster, avoid setbacks and hold their improvements longer.

The SuperHuman Protocol is based on the concept that the presence of Oxygen is the absence of disease. This therapy is 3 fold and takes about 38 minutes to complete. Stage 1 is a BodyCharger. The patient lays on a PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency) mat while a low gauss charge gently separates red blood cells so they carry oxygen more efficiently. This is painless and most patients fall asleep becuase the charge stimulates the vagus nerve (which calms them down). Stage 2 is 10 minutes of EWOT (Exercise with Oxygen Therapy). This is the only ACTIVE part of the protocol where the patient wears a premium 2 way oxygen mask while riding a stationary bike. and connected to an oxygen platform that delivers 93-95% oxygen while the patient rides the bike. Oxygen delivery WHILE moving is a gamechanger because the oxygen can be delivered to tissues deep in the body. Stage 3 is a full body redlight chamber (45,000 diodes make it a top clinical grade device) where the patient lays on their back for 15 minutes while absorbing multiple spectrums of light designed to remove inflammation in the body. Patients absorbing high levels of oxygen can then convert that oxygen to energy through the KREBS cycle (how the body makes energy requires oxygen). This Protocol can vastly expand mitochondria production. The result is more energy, less inflammation, boosted immunity, in short reversing the biological age.

Many patients will have a metabolic test when they start their program and then again after 3 months of the SuperHuman Protocol. Patients can reverse their biological age by 5-7 years in 3 months time. It’s quite a process.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My Grandfather (Walter C. Ford) was a Rear Admiral and served as a Fleet Commander in WW II.
I had the honor to have him as a mentor. I remember walking through the streets of Annapolis (Maryland) with him having people salute him and wish him well on a daily basis. He taught me how to be a responsible, honorable, good Man and I hope to one day make him proud,
