Hi Dwight, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Kingdom Property Management Inc. with a simple goal: to provide reliable, high-quality property maintenance services that people could actually count on. In the beginning, it was really about hard work, learning the business hands-on, and building trust one job at a time.
I focused on services like asphalt sealing, asphalt repairs, and property maintenance because I saw how much value there was in helping homeowners, businesses, and property managers protect and improve their properties. Over time, I learned that doing great work is only one part of the business. Communication, consistency, showing up when you say you will, and treating every property with care are just as important.
Like any business, there have been challenges along the way. I had to learn sales, operations, customer service, leadership, pricing, scheduling, and how to keep improving the systems behind the work. Every season has taught me something new, and those lessons have helped shape the company into what it is today.
Where we are now is the result of staying committed, building strong relationships, and taking pride in the details. My vision is to continue growing Kingdom Property Management into a company known for professionalism, dependable service, and quality workmanship throughout Ontario. I’m focused not just on doing good work today, but on building a strong, system-driven business that can create opportunities for employees, serve more clients, and leave a lasting reputation in the communities we work in.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I think that is part of what makes the journey meaningful. Starting and growing a business teaches you very quickly that there is no shortcut around hard work, patience, and learning from mistakes.
One of the biggest struggles in the beginning was figuring everything out while still having to keep moving forward. I had to learn how to price jobs properly, manage customer expectations, schedule work efficiently, deal with weather delays, handle equipment needs, and make sure every job was completed to a high standard. In property maintenance and asphalt work, there are a lot of moving parts, and one small issue can affect the whole day. One particularly difficult setback came when my truck was stolen, which created major challenges for transportation, scheduling, and keeping jobs on track. It was a stressful experience, but it taught me how to adapt quickly and keep pushing forward even when unexpected obstacles arise.
Another challenge was building trust as a growing company. You have to prove yourself through your work, your communication, and your consistency. Every client, every driveway, every property, and every project matters because your reputation is built one job at a time.
There were also personal challenges that come with entrepreneurship. There are long days, uncertainty, pressure, and moments where you have to make decisions without having all the answers. But those challenges helped me become more disciplined, more organized, and more focused on building better systems.
Looking back, the struggles were necessary. They taught me how to lead, how to stay consistent, and how to keep improving. I’m grateful for the difficult seasons because they helped shape Kingdom Property Management into a stronger company and gave me a clearer vision for where we are going.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?

Looking back, the moments that stand out most are not always the biggest events, but the simple ones — being surrounded by people who cared, learning life lessons through everyday experiences, and slowly developing the mindset that I carry with me today.
Those memories helped shape who I am as a person and as a business owner. They taught me the importance of showing up, treating people with respect, and taking pride in what you do. A lot of the values behind Kingdom Property Management come from those early lessons: consistency, integrity, family, service, and building something meaningful over time.
As a kid, I may not have fully understood how important those moments were, but now I can see how they influenced the way I approach life and business. They remind me to stay humble, keep working hard, and appreciate the journey.
