Inspiring Conversations with J’ana Price of Price Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to J’ana Price.  

Hi J’ana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Price Solutions started in June 2021; our founder J’ana Price, an author, and entrepreneur, was inspired by her father, James Price, to write to encourage our youth to enjoy reading. J’ana is the Nation’s youngest published author, having written her first book at 5yrs old. Since then, she has written Loving Myself, Daddy and Me, and Talking Assets with Jr. the Frog. 

In 2021, Delaney Hall, a news reporter from WRIC 6, interviewed J’ana about her journey as a published author. 

J’ana Price has impacted her community through her speaking engagements at churches and daycares. Her recent accomplishment was her nomination for the 2023 Kid Entrepreneur of the Year with the Metropolitan Business League of Richmond, VA. In 2023, She made her first book donation overseas to Born Like This orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya. 

She also has a self-funded YouTube channel, where her books are turned into animation for kids all over the world to see. 

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. The challenges we have encountered along the way are low e-commerce sales and developing an online presence to stand out in a competitive market. Our goal is to obtain business funding to expand our brand, also, by increasing our e-commerce sales through online advertisements for all products in development, such as clothes, bookbags, dolls, etc.

In June 2021, we created Price Solutions, LLC, where the mission statement is to create solutions for everyday problems that plague our community one being literacy.  We give local authors a platform. Our primary products are children’s books written by J’ana Price. 

We are proud of J’ana’s first international book donation overseas to Born Like This orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya. 

By breaking all barriers of race, age, and social class, J’ana is creating a brand that will inspire all to be great within themselves (because we all have unique talents), causing herself to be distinguished from her peers. When people hear her story, they get a sense of “I Can Too”. It is always amazing to see those reactions.
