Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesi Kirk.

Hi Jesi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always loved dogs, even from a young age. They are my life. They are what brings me true happiness and gives me a purpose in life. I am honored to help dogs and their people enjoy life together to the fullest.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a small business owner is always hard but if you are lucky you get to make a living doing what you love. The pandemic was probably one of our biggest challenges but we are happy to say that we have found new ways to serve people and their dogs through virtual coaching sessions which has been a new and fun addition.

We’ve been impressed with Howling Moon Pet Care, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We provide positive dog training to dogs and their owners around the Triangle Area. We offer in home private lessons, virtual coaching sessions, board and train, group classes, workshops and creative grooming. We are committed to help better the relationship between dogs and their humans. We want people to enjoy life to the fullest with their dogs. We also offer Cooperative Care behavioral modification for dogs who don’t enjoy going to the vet or the groomer. The most fun and unusual service we offer is creative grooming much like you might see on the popular show Pooch Perfect.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned is that all dogs can learn new behaviors with enough knowledge, patience, love and help from trusted professionals.
