Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hilssi Beauty started out of love for the art of facial aesthetics. I always imagined having a job that supported my family and also something that I was really passionate about. I have always had the gift of helping people, and that is where my vocation for this job began, studying as a cosmetologist to learn about the skin and help people with their facial problems. At the same time, I decided to delve into micropigmentation to be able to create designs on the skin when for some reasons we have eyebrow asymmetries mainly. The name arose from a combination of the name of my son Thiago, my husband Nasib, and mine; we spent hours playing with the letters of our names until we created Hilssi, a name that carries the meaning of all three, the love of cosmetology, the passion and dedication with which I carry out each certification and work in the study to offer the best to my clients.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I started studying, my son was 5 months old, and I didn’t know how I could divide my time between studying, taking care of my son, and taking care of my home. I spent many days of anguish because the first week, I went to study and left my son in the care of someone else. He suffered violence, so I didn’t know whether to continue studying or continue dedicating myself to taking care of him; however, thanks to life and plans God, I had the support of my family to share the times to take care of my son and thus be able to continue studying. At the end of studying, it was not an easy task to have all the requirements to set up my business with all the family expenses, and apart from the expenses of a business, so I started cleaning houses to be able to have financial support. I lost count of how many toilets I flushed (Lol), but here I am now with my small business working on my personal brand of facial products and constantly studying more to offer you the best services.

Hilssi Beauty is a company committed to facial harmony. I am a specialist in facial cosmetology and micropigmentation. My cabin is the area where the magic happens. I am a true believer that you never stop learning, and I am always in constant certification to learn new technologies, treatments, and the best procedures to have amazing results. Hilssi Beauty is a space where you work from the passion for my career, the details of the place, and the knowledge learned to offer the best services. Some of the treatments we have in the cabin are: facial cleansing, acne treatments, wart removal, microblading, permanent eyeliner, wrinkle treatments, dermabrasion, hydrodermabrasion, spa manicures, and pedicures, eyelash lifting, eyebrow lamination. And soon, we will have our line of dermatological products with our brand.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The pandemic time helped me a lot to focus my mind on really productive things for my business, how to study online courses, prepare myself in the area of marketing and advertising to learn about sales strategies, and be able to have more reach with my brand. It really helped me work on myself. Being patient and believing that God’s timing is perfect because when we see darkness and emptiness the most is when we should have the most because better things will come to us
