Inspiring Conversations with Judaea Morris of Le Luxe Prints

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judaea Morris.

Hi Judaea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started out creating a product in the beauty industry and then the pandemic hit and my business came to a halt because I couldn’t get my products in time to make a profit. So, I had to think quickly on my feet and I thought about a business that would be pandemic proof.

By the end of March, I had come up with a name, Le Luxe Prints, and had started my new business printing labels. I know a lot of entrepreneurs at the time because I was a new entrepreneur myself and had done a lot of networking and I knew that they all needed or used labels. So, I started making labels, thank you cards, and stickers for small business owners. I started out cutting the labels by hand or with a manual cutter and then upgraded to get a cutting machine. I now own multiple printers and cutting machines including an industrial cutter.

In my first year of business, I made over 10k. Once, I hit this milestone I realized that I had the potential to make decent money with my business being that I only work part-time because I have a full-time job as well as an auditor. I have now ventured out and started a new collaborative retail office and I helping multiple small business owners like myself afford retail space and get the storefront experience. I will be opening up my store, COLLAB RALEIGH early 2022.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a long bumpy road, Lol. Even though I have only been in business for about a year and a half. I have had some pretty significant challenges and learned some costly lessons along the way.

I think my biggest flaw is wanting to help everyone and unfortunately, you can’t do that in business and still make a profit. I wouldn’t change anything about my journey though because each bump in the road has set me up for an even bigger comeback.

I am the proudest of my tag name “The Sticker Plug” on social media, it has picked up some traction and a lot of people will tag me or refer to me as The Sticker Plug on a post where a potential client is looking for stickers. This really boosts my confidence and lets me know that I’m doing something right and my reach is getting larger in the area.

How do you think about happiness?
Being able to make money on something that I am passionate about makes me happy. I have worked jobs for years that didn’t fulfill me and I always felt like I was being held back. With my business I am free to expand as far as I want and that gives me so much joy.
