Inspiring Conversations with KaLaisha Strickland of KKNIGHTXO, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to KaLaisha Strickland.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
With over 15 years of professional experience in Advertising and Marketing, in 2022, I set a goal to make a larger contribution to the state of North Carolina and our local community in Raleigh, NC.
It was during that same year that I earned my North Carolina Notary Public commission.

I spent 6 months afterward learning more and even earning my eNotary commission, and in July 2023, KKNIGHTXO, LLC was established.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting started was fairly easy during the first year, but as time progressed, I encountered challenges.

Many of those struggles were related to administrative and operational changes.
For example, some personal life events have altered the time flexibility I have now, compared to what was available when I established the business. I still find that funding the growth of my business has continued to be an obstacle.

We’ve been impressed with KKNIGHTXO, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
KKNIGHTXO supports individuals and organizations alike with bespoke notary and signing services.
We are NC-commissioned, E&O-insured, and NNA-certified, equipped to deliver general notary requests, as well as mortgage closings, eMortgage closings, and other complex legal documents.

We are built to partner with other notaries, banking institutions, title companies, lenders, real estate professionals, and attorneys who are nationwide.

KKNIGHTXO is well-positioned to accommodate clients and principals who are only accessible via electronic technology, such as Zoom, as we are also commissioned to complete eNotary requests.

I am most proud of the relationships KKNIGHTXO has helped me to forge with the local public, as well as professionals across NC, and beyond.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Major shifts are occurring in the Notary Public industry, specifically within the state of North Carolina.
Over the next five years, I predict growth in the number of notary public professionals as the NC Secretary of State’s office finalizes the adoption of the Remote Electronic Notary Act (RENA).

The larger shifts will likely extend from RENA for both notary operations and how the public engages with notaries in their local area. In my opinion, it is an exciting time to be a notary public!
