Inspiring Conversations with Linda Lebron of Magster Dog Training, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Lebron.

Hi Linda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was a personal trainer for 10 years. Although I loved teaching people, I found there was still something missing. I decided to find something I could do that involved dogs which is my passion.. Teaching and dogs go together very well which is when I decided to become a dog trainer.

I enrolled in the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and graduated as a Certified Dog Trainer. I then continued my studies and passed the CPDT-KA exam and became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed.

Shortly thereafter I began volunteering with Vets to Vets, a nonprofit that pairs and teaches rescue dogs for veterans in need. This led me to wanting to learn more about helping people with physical or mental disabilities. I enrolled into a service dog training course and became certified as a Service Dog Coach through Cooperative Paws.

I train puppies and adult dogs basic obedience where I meet with the owners and instruct them on how to teach their dogs proper behaviors. I also meet with owners that want to train their own service dogs and instruct them on teaching their dog proper public access behaviors. Once they pass public access, I teach the dogs and their owners tasks that the dog can do to help the owner with their disabilities.

I have had my business for 9 years and love what I do every day. It is so rewarding to see a dog that has learned so much live a happy life with their family.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The information I learned about dog training was detailed and sometimes difficult but I spent a lot of time studying and was able achieve my goals.
Finding what type of training I wanted to focus on was a lot of trial and error. I no longer accept any cases of aggression and leave it to those trainers that find this their calling.

We’ve been impressed with Magster Dog Training, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love training puppies and adult dogs basic obedience and manners so they can live a wonderful life with their families. I also teach owners how they can reinforce the desired behaviors throughout their dog’s life. I have trained a lot of puppies and have had positive results. I get many client referrals because of successful puppy training.
I also find that teaching owners how to train suitable dogs to become service dogs is so rewarding. The owners really appreciate that I can help them teach their dogs to make their lives safer and easier. There are not that many service dog trainers that are certified in this area.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Veterinarian’s, dog rescues and other dog related businesses can use me for client referrals. Because I am certified, organizations can be confident with their referrals knowing that I am educated in dog training and behaviors.
