Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Brown.

Liz Brown

Liz, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up along the East Coast moving a few times as a kid with a parent in sales. Looking back, this helps me be able to adapt to new situations. I wanted to branch out for college and landed at NC State with only knowing one other person in the state. I have never looked back since.

My career began with 10+ years of experience in the Sports & Technology Event and Hospitality industry, where I learned to appreciate the power of relationships and perfected my ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. (This means I can help you work cohesively with attorneys, lenders, inspectors, and contractors to make things as seamless and stress-free as possible.) 

Combining this experience with a passion for real estate and knowledge of the Triangle market led me to found Liz Brown Residential, where we work directly with buyers, sellers, and investors to address your needs and reach your goals. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is never a straight line and always ebbs and flows of wins and setbacks. Building my own Firm has been a learning experience as I wear many hats for IT, Marketing, lead generator, website building, mentor, etc. I honestly took for granted the skillsets of others before I had to navigate all areas of the business. 

The most important thing I have learned is to surround myself with people smarter than me that I can learn from! I am the proud mom of two young girls, and navigating being a small business owner, mom, and wife brings its own challenges! 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Liz Brown Residential?
We are a boutique real estate firm located in downtown Raleigh that services the surrounding area. Our goal is to create and cultivate long-term relationships and partnerships. We value communication, transparency, and relationships. In fact, many of my former clients are my friends. 

In addition, we like to offer a turnkey solution and operate a property management company as well. 

At the end of the day, no one wants to be a transaction, and neither do we. How can we work together to achieve your real estate goals, whether it be your first home, investment property, or selling your home to relocate to a new state? 

I believe in setting a foundation, and education is power. We want to come alongside you in your journey, no matter where it may be in the process. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I think luck comes with hard work. When you put in consistency and the reps, good fortune will pay off. It is also important to who you surround yourself with and a positive mindset. 

With that said, it is setting the foundation over time. I was fortunate to start in real estate on a team and had an amazing mentor. She built a very successful business that I was able to learn from. 

I think I have been lucky in that I have connected with all of my agents through referrals of great friends who I respect. Our team has organically grown by word of mouth.
