Inspiring Conversations with Lori Hendrickson of Lori’s Lab

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Hendrickson.

Hi Lori, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Lori’s Lab by making T-shirts for my family and friends as a fun hobby. When I made my first shirt, It was so much fun but sadly it fell apart in the washer, after that, I became completely obsessed with finding the right tools and equipment to perfect my craft. After months of making shirts for free and asking for feedback from friends, I felt my shirts were finally ready to hit the market. My slogan is “The science of quality tees”, because I take my time with each shirt to make sure it meets the quality needs for each customer.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Starting a business is always challenging and never fully a smooth road. I have made a lot of mistakes as a first time entrepreneur, but as a business owner that stands on her word of making a quality product, I make it my duty to resolve any issue or mistake I make for my customers. I am also a bit of a perfectionist. When it comes to my tees I never let one leave my shop without me feeling 100% confident about it.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have tried to customize just about anything you can think of, from cups, hats, hoodies, pillows, jean jackets and of course T-shirts. I specialize in making custom t-shirts I like to make custom gear for small businesses to wear and give to their staff. I put my love into each t-shirt, there’s no big machine pressing each shirt, its just me. I want readers to know I believe quality can also mean affordable.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My friends Sade’, Sadie, Tiara, and Kelly have been my big my biggest supporters. When I had my first large order all of my friends were in the “press shop” finding a way to help me. They encourage me to go bigger and never minimize my vision. I am so thankful for the help and support I have received from my friends.
