Hi Maverick, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I founded Maverick Endeavors LLC in 2021 after working for a larger roofing company for several years. The goal? I wanted to create a business that offered home and building owners affordable services and solutions to any problem they may be having without tacking on a crazy and unnecessary amount of overhead that increases the overall cost to them, all the while being personally involved in every project I touch. Keeping an open line of communication with the client is of utmost importance. The roof is one of the most important structures on a home or building – it protects everything you care about. I wanted to be a part of helping people protect the things and those they love. Throughout this process, I fell into a niche of historic roof preservation in which I restore historic roofs that were installed in the late 1700s to mid 1900s. I dedicated myself to learning what goes into preservation – this is a niche not many contractors want to touch due to the complexities. I love helping home or building owners preserve a little piece of history!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have earned an MBA with an emphasis in Management, so I had the book smarts starting out, but it was definitely a learning process putting it all into action and into practice. It has been an uphill climb as a “one-man show” with a lot of hats to wear, but my drive and determination never let me give up. I learned that it takes a ton of time and money to build a business. There have been situations, mostly after starting out, when I lost money on projects – but making right by the customer, to me, is more important that profiting. An unhappy customer is not a success story for me, but a lesson learned is.

We have worked on several notable historic projects, George Washington’s Tomb in Mt. Vernon, VA being one . Most contractors suggest just ripping off an old roof and replacing it with a new one. Why not save the roof, preserve history, and save the home or building owner money in the process? They want to rip it off because they don’t know how to restore it – that’s where we come in. We work hand-in-hand with manufactures that are used by the National Park Service and NASA. Our products are top-notch.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am hands-on with every project I have. I am also a music lover. Any time I am working on a project you will find me with my earbuds in jamming to my favorite songs. Don’t be surprised if you happen to see me dancing a little while working (safely, of course).
