Inspiring Conversations with Sana Siddiqui of 1Eatz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sana Siddiqui.

Sana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The concept of 1Eatz started brewing in my head soon after my husband and I were blessed with twins. With two newborn babies, our life turned completely upside down. Time management went out the window and getting a simple homemade meal together became a serious struggle! We were so tired of eating out, deliveries and unhealthy fast food. Breakfast was the easiest to skip since mornings were the busiest until I started making these “mini meal kits” with veggies and herbs and setting them aside for later. Every morning, I simply added a couple of eggs to the kits and made omelets, veggie scrambles and even quick egg soufflé’s in the microwave! With that, we were able to enjoy fresh breakfast every day without spending hours in the kitchen. These mini meal kits were the beginning of 1Eatz. I left my corporate career of 14 years to research and refine this idea and the kits later came to be known as “Egg Kits”.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Small businesses run at a very different pace from the corporate world. There is never any waiting around, decisions have to be made quickly, things must get done right away and change is imminent. Where all of that is exciting, it is sometimes a challenge to manage so much with limited resources. My biggest challenge has been trying to manage work-life balance. I am fortunate to have my husband and parents by my side. With their support, I have been able to work on this exciting venture while being able to spend quality time with the family.

We’ve been impressed with 1Eatz, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
1Eatz’ aim is to cut down on meal-prep work so that healthy, home-cooked meals can be enjoyed without spending hours in the kitchen. We offer single-serve meal kits called “Egg Kits” that contain a mix of all-natural veggies, herbs and seasoning without any preservatives or artificial ingredients. The Egg Kits are to be simply combined with eggs and can be cooked within minutes and in a variety of ways, without the need for cutting, chopping or prepping the ingredients. Egg Kits are available in five flavors via our website and we offer free shipping on all orders.

What makes you happy?
Happiness to me is hearing from and talking to 1Eatz’ customers. I love it when someone reaches out via e-mail or social media with feedback, suggestions or just to say hello. Since we are primarily an online store and don’t have a physical location, this interaction means so much to me. I try my best to send out a handwritten note with as many orders as I can and will continue to do so as long as it’s possible. I am absolutely on cloud nine whenever we sell at local farmer’s markets and I get to speak directly with the customers!
