Today we’d like to introduce you to Sunita Haralalka
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Have you ever felt alone, even in a room full of people? I have—and I’m a social butterfly. But those moments taught me something important: real connections are everything. That realization came when I found myself working in a role that no longer supported my growth or creativity. As the environment became increasingly negative and unappreciative, I knew it was time to move on. No matter how motivated or talented you are, if the environment is toxic, it will always hold you back. So, I made the bold decision to lean into what felt right for me and follow my passion and take a big risk. From that moment, Always Sunni was born.
Since launching, my mission has been clear: to create spaces where people never feel alone. Always Sunni is all about helping people form genuine connections—whether through dating, friendships, community-building, or social media management. One of the key features of my business is First Class Match CLT, a dating event that takes matchmaking to the next level. I pre-match attendees before the event, and then they spend the night searching for their best match. At the end, they find out who their pre-match is. It’s not just about dating—it’s about creating experiences that align with people’s values and build lasting relationships.
My work isn’t defined by just one event or service—it’s about building lasting, supportive communities. I started CLT Social Queens, a women’s group that has grown to over 200 members in just a few months. Every event I host brings together around 65 women, designed to build real connections through curated activities and collaborations with local businesses I believe in. You can come to my events alone—and never feel alone—leaving with new friendships, deeper connections, and the support you need to thrive.
Always Sunni has a bigger goal of supporting addiction recovery and family healing, I plan to create a charity funded through a portion of profits from my ventures.
As a content creator, social media manager, and entrepreneur, I’ve built Always Sunni with authenticity at its core. I only partner with brands and businesses that share my values because I believe that when you stay true to yourself, the right people will find you.
Looking ahead, I’m focused on growing a business that empowers individuals and helps people feel less alone. It’s not just about business; it’s about creating lasting impact and changing lives.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Has it been a smooth road? Not exactly, but it’s been a learning journey. Always Sunni is still new to me, and one of the biggest struggles has been learning to say no and set boundaries. I tend to be a people-pleaser, and because I love what I do, I often find myself saying yes too many times—whether it’s offering help or agreeing to business deals where people want more for less, or even for free. I’ve learned that I can’t be everything to everyone all the time, and I’m working on setting healthier boundaries as my business grows.
Another challenge I face is balancing the growth of my events and the demands of my social media management work. I’ve been handling everything on my own for the events, which has been both rewarding and overwhelming. I’m a bit of a control freak, and I want everything to go perfectly—especially on event day. As the events grow, I know I’ll need more help, but I’ve been lucky to have CLT Social Queens to support me, and the local businesses and partners I’ve worked with have been amazing.
When it comes to the creative side, I’m in my element. I love coming up with activities, prizes, and themes that make the events fun and meaningful. That part comes easily to me. However, the challenge is finding a balance between staying creative, managing all the behind-the-scenes logistics, and creating systems that will allow me to scale my business. The key for me now is establishing a standard workflow, while also bringing in new business, and making sure I’m not doing everything myself.
It’s a work in progress, but I’m committed to building a sustainable business that allows me to continue creating connections in a meaningful way.
As you know, we’re big fans of Always Sunni, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Always Sunni is all about creating real connections—whether it’s through events, social media management, or content creation. At the core of my business is a deep passion for connecting people in meaningful ways. What sets me apart is my ability to create experiences that go beyond just showing up; I make sure that every single person at my events feels involved, seen, and heard. I’ve been told that my attention to detail in creating inclusive, engaging experiences is what makes my events stand out. It’s not just about filling a room—it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels like they belong.
In addition to my events, I offer content creation and social media management services. What I love most about this part of my business is partnering with businesses I truly believe in. I work with brands that align with my values and can collaborate with them on events to help promote their business while making genuine connections with my audience. Social media management for me is about more than just showing people how Instagram works. It’s about the feeling of connection, of authenticity, and engaging on a deeper level with my followers. I make sure to connect with everyone on a personal level, creating that sense of community that my brand is all about.
I am especially proud of CLT Social Queens, my women’s group that has grown rapidly and is creating a real sense of empowerment and support in the Charlotte area. It’s not just a community—it’s a family that continues to grow and thrive.
My brand, Always Sunni, is about staying true to who I am—being authentic and transparent in every aspect of my business. Whether it’s through hosting events, providing social media services, or connecting with others on a personal level, my mission is simple: to create lasting, meaningful relationships that empower individuals and bring people together in ways that matter.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has definitely played a role in my life and business, but I believe it’s how you respond to the unexpected that truly shapes your journey. In some ways, I’ve had my fair share of bad luck—whether it was being in a toxic work environment or facing moments of doubt in my own abilities. But rather than letting those challenges define me, I used them as opportunities to grow, learn, and pivot in a way that ultimately led to Always Sunni.
In terms of good luck, I’ve been fortunate to find a supportive community here in Charlotte and to work with amazing people and businesses who align with my values. CLT Social Queens grew organically because of the people I met along the way, and the partnerships I’ve formed with local businesses have been instrumental in bringing my vision to life. These “lucky” connections weren’t random—they were a result of staying authentic and creating a business that resonates with others.
At the end of the day, I believe luck is a combination of being in the right place at the right time and putting in the hard work to make it happen. My business is built on authenticity, resilience, and making meaningful connections—and while luck has certainly played a part, I know that much of the success I’ve experienced has come from staying true to my vision and never giving up.
