Today we’d like to introduce you to Susie Linquist.
Hi Susie , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
About ten years ago, after taking a long hiatus from self-care while being completely consumed by motherhood, I decided to try a fitness class. That class lit a spark in me. Within a couple of years, I found myself teaching the very same class—and quickly became passionate about helping women feel seen, empowered, and strong, just as I had when I first began.
A few years into my fitness journey, I became really sick. No doctor—conventional or natural—could figure out what was wrong. I spent years trying to piece it together myself: reading books, studying experts, and diving deep into the world of biohacking. Eventually, I hired a functional coach who helped me uncover the root causes of my health issues, layer by layer.
During that time, I also became certified as a nutrition coach, which opened the door for me to turn my pain into purpose. I truly believe God gave me this journey so that I could now help other women find healing, balance, and confidence in their own bodies.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve started and stopped this journey many times over the last five years. I first began coaching during COVID, which actually turned out to be the perfect time to start—everyone was home, unable to get to the gym, and suddenly much more mindful about their food and health. I fell in love with coaching and found it incredibly rewarding.
But once the world reopened, things got harder. I struggled to find and keep clients, and there were several times I felt discouraged enough to walk away. Still, I kept feeling that pull—this knowing that coaching was my purpose—so I always came back.
During that time, my own health struggles also got worse before they got better. And honestly, imposter syndrome held me back for quite a while. But everything shifted when my own coach asked me to start coaching for her company. It was the first time I truly saw that I had everything I needed to make an impact.
Eventually, I decided to fully commit—I hired a business coaching company, and that decision propelled me forward. Today, I have a full client list and an incredible network of partners who support my work (and I support theirs) through collaboration and referrals. It’s been a journey of persistence, faith, and trusting that every setback was part of preparing me for where I am now.
As you know, we’re big fans of Linquist Wellness Coaching . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Linquist Wellness was born from my own journey of healing and self-discovery. I work primarily with women in their 40s and 50s who are navigating perimenopause or menopause and feeling like their bodies have turned against them. My goal is to help them shed pounds, regain energy, and age with vitality—without restriction or burnout.
What makes my approach unique is that I don’t focus solely on diet and exercise. I take a full-body, whole-life approach—looking at hormones, inflammation, stress, mindset, sleep, and self-care. Together, we create a personalized plan that works with a woman’s lifestyle, not against it. I’m known for helping women finally feel like themselves again—confident, balanced, and strong from the inside out.
I’m most proud of the community and trust I’ve built through my brand. My clients know that I’ve walked this road too, and that authenticity sets the tone for everything I do. From one-on-one coaching to my digital resources and women’s wellness retreats in Costa Rica, every offering is designed to help women reconnect with their bodies and rediscover joy in the process.
At the heart of Linquist Wellness is my belief that true transformation begins with reducing stress, nourishing the body, and healing from the inside out. I want women to know that it’s never too late to reclaim their health, their confidence, and their spark.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I always tell my clients KEEP GOING. when things feel like they aren’t working, keep going. when your business isn’t where you want it KEEP GOING. When you wake up with no motivatino or inspiration, KEEP GOING. It takes time to reach our goals, but if something is on your heart, IT’S MEANT FOR YOU! KEEP GOING!
