Inspiring Conversations with Teneé King of TK Tips Lifestyle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teneé King.

Hi Teneé, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Teneé King I have worked in Fashion, Entertainment, and Tourism for over 20 years. My career path spans from being a professional model, film Script Supervisor, co-owner of a clothing brand to large-scale events operation and logistics consulting. Within my various career endeavors, I’ve collaborated on many successful projects. I have a love for production; seeing an idea come to fruition truly brings me joy!

Sharing information and resources is something that I enjoy doing. During the pandemic, I decided to lean in on my passion for sharing wellness, style, and motherhood tips and created the TK Tips Instagram page. As my page grew, opportunities for collaboration were presented to me. Reflecting one day, I realized the impact that I bought to the brands I partnered with, my natural ability to influence and convert sales. It came to me that I had never done a solo project, so I made the choice to bank on myself. I became immersed in understanding how to leverage Instagram and the overall digital industry. I took webinars and pointers from friends who worked in social media and ultimately decided to earn a Digital Entrepreneurship MBA. I was raised by a single father and 4-grandmothers and wanted to honor my upbringing.  Thus, the Mommin Collection by TK Tips was born in August 2021.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a solo entrepreneur is no easy task, but overall, the road has been smooth. Being a one-woman show calls for me to hold multiple positions within the business. For me, a challenge has been how to best allocate my time when all aspects of the business require attention. I am learning to outsource, automate, and enlist help. Doing so aids me in being more efficient and opens the capacity to focus on areas of the business that are my true strengths.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
TK Tips Lifestyle is a brand that focuses on motherhood, wellness, and inspirational merchandise that shares realistic recommendations for you to Live Well Daily and Celebrate it.

Within the TK Tips Lifestyle Brand is our curated Mommin Collection by TK Tips. The Mommin Collection by TK Tips features curated jewelry, apparel, accessories, and life essentials. The Mommin Collection by TK Tips – is a dedication to mothers, single fathers, unconventional mothers, and the village that holds them down.

I consider myself a Digital Entrepreneur, Creative Strategist, and Wellness Advocate. Online I am known for being the creator of the Mommin Collection by TK Tips, encouraging you to harmonize life your way, and reminding you to take vitamins and herbs daily. Offline, I am known for being an Operations and Logistics Consultant (within Entertainment, Tourism & Hospitality)

I have recently merged my consulting expertise and digital entrepreneurship experience to help guide creative business owners from concept to launch. Adding Creative Consultant to my newly founded TenA Creative Firm to, “what I do” category.

What sets The Mommin Collection by TK Tips apart from others is its’ inclusivity and how I define MOMMIN “a person who nurtures, sacrifices and grinds for those they love while looking fly.” (Urban Dictionary Listed)

I am most proud of how well the MOMMIN definition is received, the community I have built on and offline, and my ability to influence wellness with ease.

I look forward to developing more curated TK Tips Lifestyle Brand collections, expanding wellness partnerships, and growing the TenA Creative Firm client roster.
