Inspiring Conversations with Tiff Peck and Sabrina Rankin of Tansformations Spray Tanning LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiff Peck and Sabrina Rankin.

Hi Tiff and Sabrina; it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Tansformations were established in 2012 in Durham. In 2018, we added Hickory, NC, as our first studio and headquarters. We are a true sunless sisters company that takes pride in providing a subtle natural glow, making our clients feel comfortable and confident, and having an amazing team of detail-oriented Spray Tan Artists located throughout NC.

You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Our biggest obstacle was making it through COVID. We had to shut down like the rest of the beauty industry, which damaged our growth momentum. The other challenge we face is adding to our team. We want to be in as many markets as possible for our model and add the right people who will want to grow with us for years.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a local spray tan company that offers mobile and studio services. We are strictly sunless and love helping others glow.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting?
Give yourself time to establish a clientele. Building a solid reputation and getting referrals will take 2-3 years. Most people need to give themselves time to grow, learn their market, and start networking in the community; it’s all about building relationships and cross-promoting other local businesses.

Pricing:

  • $50 = Regular Tan
  • $60 – Rapid Tan
