Today we’d like to introduce you to Trajan Baker

Hi Trajan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
An essential component to unlocking my creative journey was deciding to obtain a Masters degree in Architecture. In May of 2024, I completed my degree program with a new and exciting perspective on arts and culture and how they can be integrate into our lives through the built environment. My primary passion areas are Architecture, Art, and Audio design

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As someone who perceives challenges and obstacles as opportunities for growth, the journey has been everything it’s needed to be. I adapt to my circumstances and aim to rise above any hurdles that threaten mental stability and forward progress.

We’ve been impressed with TrajansArch, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TrajansArch represents the umbrella under which all of my creative pursuits fall. My creative thinking is oriented towards a multidisciplinary cross-blend of the arts to tell an overarching story. By weaving different elements from my identified passion areas – Architecture, Art, and Audio design – I am able to constantly find inspiration and innovative design solutions.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was a curious and creative kid. I naturally gravitated towards art and music and always had a natural knack for it. More than anything, my ability to be self-disciplined and motivated towards my goals is what allowed me to develop my skillsets and take pride in each project I came across. I started playing music in the 4th grade (Recorder) and transitioned to the clarinet (6th grade) and eventually the saxophone (7th grade) which is now my primary instrument. I did very well in school, obtaining straight As for the majority of my middle/high school career and received full-funding for my college education at Hampton University through a multitude of scholarships.

My natural affinity for creativity encouraged me to pursue Architecture, a profession I knew very little about at the time. 5 years and a masters degree later, architecture plays a highly influential role in shaping my creativity!
