Inspiring Conversations with Will Draper of The Social Agent Pro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Draper.

Hi Will, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I started in real estate, I didn’t have a big budget, a huge network, or any fancy marketing experience. What I did have was a willingness to show up, figure things out, and try new things—even if they were a little uncomfortable at first.

I leaned into content creation early, especially video. I started making videos about my local community—home tours, neighborhood spotlights, local businesses—and sharing them on social media. It wasn’t perfect, but it was consistent. And over time, that content started generating real leads. People would message me and say, “I feel like I already know you.” That was the moment I realized I didn’t need to chase leads—I could attract them by showing up with value.

That strategy helped me build a solo real estate business that produced over $20 million in annual sales—without cold calling or spending a fortune on ads. Eventually, agents started reaching out and asking how I was doing it. That’s what sparked the coaching side of my business.

Today, I run The Social Agent Pro—a community and training platform that helps real estate agents master content, social media, and video marketing. I’ve helped hundreds of agents grow their businesses by showing them exactly how to show up online in a way that feels authentic and generates results. Whether it’s helping someone get their first lead from YouTube or build a consistent pipeline from their Google Business Profile, I love helping agents feel confident and clear about what to post and why.

I still create, I still coach, and I’m constantly testing new strategies so my clients can stay ahead of the curve. It’s been a wild ride—but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road—but I think that’s part of what makes the journey so meaningful.

When I first got started, I was doing everything myself—trying to learn marketing, manage transactions, and still find time to build relationships with clients. I had no roadmap, no mentor, and honestly, I was winging it most days. There were times I questioned whether I was even cut out for this. I remember filming 20 videos in one day—only to find out my mic wasn’t working and the audio was unusable. That one stung.

One of the biggest struggles was consistency. I knew video content worked, but between juggling deals, client calls, and family life, it was hard to show up consistently. There were weeks I felt invisible—posting videos, getting low views, and wondering if it was even worth it.

Another major challenge was making the leap from being a solo agent to becoming a coach and content creator. It meant shifting how I saw myself—and putting myself out there in a different way. That came with a whole new set of doubts and fears, especially around imposter syndrome. But the more I focused on helping others and sharing what actually worked for me, the more confident I became in my role.

So no, it hasn’t been smooth. But every struggle has sharpened the way I teach and serve today. I’ve learned that imperfect action is better than waiting for perfect conditions—and that consistency beats talent when it comes to building something that lasts.

We’ve been impressed with The Social Agent Pro, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a coaching and content platform called The Social Agent Pro. It’s designed specifically for real estate agents who want to grow their business using social media, video marketing, AI, and simple, practical strategies that actually work.

What makes it different is that I don’t just teach theory—I’ve done it myself. I built a $20M/year solo real estate business by creating consistent, local content without relying on cold calls, expensive ads, or chasing leads. Now, I help agents do the same through weekly coaching calls, on-demand video courses, done-for-you content ideas, and step-by-step playbooks for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Google Business Profiles.

I specialize in helping agents who are overwhelmed or stuck with their marketing finally get clarity and confidence. Whether it’s knowing what to post, how to attract more leads, or how to build a personal brand that people actually remember—I break it all down in a way that’s approachable, actionable, and tailored to real estate.

What sets my brand apart is the realness—I’ve walked the walk, and I stay hands-on. Every week, I’m teaching what’s working right now, not what worked 5 years ago. I also genuinely care about results—many of my clients have doubled their business, generated hundreds of organic leads, and feel more confident showing up online.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the community we’ve built. It’s not just about content—it’s about connection, support, and making real progress together.

At the end of the day, I want agents to know that they don’t need to be famous, tech-savvy, or have a big budget to grow their business. They just need a simple strategy, the right tools, and someone who’s in their corner showing them the way.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
If you’re just starting your own business, here’s what I’ll say: there’s no perfect time to start, and you’re probably not going to feel fully ready—and that’s okay. Most of us build the plane while flying it.

When I started my business, I thought I needed to have everything figured out—the perfect offer, the perfect brand, the perfect website. But the truth is, clarity comes from action. You learn by doing. And honestly, some of your best growth will come from trial, error, and adjusting along the way.

I also learned that success doesn’t come from working more hours—it comes from working on the right things. I spent way too long early on trying to do everything myself, saying yes to too much, and not charging enough. If I could go back, I’d focus sooner on creating systems, setting boundaries, and charging based on the value I was delivering—not just the time I was spending.

The other big lesson? Community matters. Surround yourself with people who are building too—whether they’re one step ahead or right beside you. It’s easy to feel isolated as a solo entrepreneur, but you don’t have to do it alone.

And finally—stay consistent. The people who keep showing up, even when results are slow, are the ones who break through. You don’t need to be perfect. You need to be persistent.
