Lauren Dipasquale shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Lauren, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
One of the most surprising things I’ve learned is that most small businesses put a lot of energy—and often budget—into social media, sometimes hiring a dedicated social media manager, yet they often overlook their local business pages on platforms like Google, Yelp, and Apple Maps. I regularly see business owners either set up these profiles and then ignore them, or get stuck for months with unresolved issues—sometimes not realizing that there’s help available. They’re missing out on one of the most powerful sources of high-intent customer leads!
It’s often eye-opening for them to discover that by actively managing and optimizing these pages, I can help fix technical problems and build up their online reputation—attracting and converting more clients from local searches. I always encourage business owners to start these pages from the very beginning, so we can begin gathering valuable reviews on day one and set a strong foundation for long-term visibility and trust. It’s a simple change that truly makes a major impact for local businesses.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As the founder of Rank Rise Studio, my drive to champion small businesses stems from my roots—growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I saw firsthand the daily challenges and multiple roles business owners juggle. Inspired by these experiences and equipped with a degree in business management, I discovered a powerful yet often neglected pathway for growth: elevating local business page management on platforms like Google, Apple Maps, and Yelp.
While most marketing strategies focus on social media, my team and I take a unique approach by zeroing in on the places where real customers search for services every day. We optimize, repair, and actively manage our clients’ profiles across Google, Apple Maps, and Yelp, ensuring that their businesses are well-positioned to be found by their target audience.
What truly sets Rank Rise Studio apart is our ongoing commitment. Instead of simply setting up listings and walking away, we remain engaged—creating compelling posts, responding to customer reviews, troubleshooting visibility issues, and deploying proven strategies to keep our clients climbing in local search results. We even have a robust reputation management system, designed to help businesses consistently earn genuine, positive reviews from real customers.
I understand how overwhelming it can be for small business owners to maintain these critical platforms while running their business day-to-day. That’s why Rank Rise Studio exists: to provide a streamlined, effective solution that boosts visibility, strengthens reputation, and drives growth—all while taking tasks off our clients’ plates. We strive to be the behind-the-scenes partner helping small businesses become the standout choice in their local communities.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My Dad and Uncle taught me the most about work and business. Since I was little, I was always around, learning and listening as they built successful businesses and worked for themselves. Watching them, I fell in love with the idea that when you work for yourself, you get to choose what you do and truly control your earning potential.
My dad turned his passion into a business, owning one of the only reptile stores in our region and becoming an expert in his field. He also bought, sold, rented, and flipped houses with my uncle—I learned so much from following along and seeing how they approached entrepreneurship from every angle.
All these early experiences stuck with me, so when I went to business school and began my own career, I knew I wanted to help other small business owners. That’s what led me to start Rank Rise Studio: to use everything I’d learned—to help other entrepreneurs grow, thrive, and have more freedom in their work, too.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me back the most has definitely been self‑doubt and imposter syndrome. For a long time, I struggled to believe that what I was doing to help people actually mattered or made a difference. It’s easy to question your own value—especially as a small business owner or when working in a field that not everyone fully understands.
But as I’ve grown, I’ve started really paying attention to the feedback from my clients and watching their success stories unfold. Seeing their businesses thrive with my support has helped me begin to build and gain confidence. I’m learning to trust the impact of my work and lean into the positive results I help my clients achieve.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Of course, I asked my best friend, Kim, this question – and she said that what really matters to me is family and the people I care about. She knows I value deep connections and making time for the important people in my life. She also mentioned that having fun and experiencing life—like going to concerts and enjoying adventures—is a big part of what drives me.
Having a small but strong circle around you in life is the most important thing. It can be family or friends – you just need to have people you can trust, lean on, and that encourage you.
I am so lucky to have the very best friend. Kim keeps me organized and grounded, plans my travel and adventures (because she’s an amazing travel planner,) and always encourages me to be my best self. She brings balance to my whirlwind, keeps my feet on the ground when my head’s in the clouds, and is the steady hand cheering me on through every new adventure.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m not sure I was born to do this, but I definitely chose it—and I love every minute of it, even the challenging parts. It took me a while to figure out what I really wanted to do with my career. Working for myself and helping small businesses grow were two big factors that guided me. Now that I’m here, I find a lot of fulfillment in making a positive impact and enjoying the independence that comes with it.
