Today we’d like to introduce you to Adanna Omeni.

Hi Adanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a mom who was fighting depression for a long time. I am naturally creative and in being a grown-up I was doing everything on autopilot. When I turned 30, my bestfriend gave me a blank notebook and told me to write down my dreams and that’s how 1 Blossom 2 Bloom started I did a small pop-up and it felt good connecting with people through my flowers. 2020 took a part of my heart (my dad) and I promised to seek out every opportunity and here I am.

 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road is smooth unless you are slipping a slippery slope and you know how that goes. But yes I have struggled with a lot of things number 1, myself and self doubts imposter syndrome and fear. Challenges understanding how business works learning about branding and websites and social media… but most of all starting without having it”all” together.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a florist. I specialize in pop-ups. Hand-tied bouquets (subscription services), floral design parties I call them to bloom bars, networking events, floral installations, and weddings. I am known for free-styled hand tied bouquets and good conversations. I think what sets me apart is I want everyone to be a part of floral design. When I make you a bouquet I want to know your favorite color who is the bouquet for are you new in town. Is this bunch of flowers just to brighten your first empty apartment. Is this for your bestfriend presenting her doctoral thesis? Did your bestfriend lose his husband? As a florist, we are there for the cheers and tears and I want each petal I give you to invoke a memory mostly of joy.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters to me most is. The things I dreamed of yesterday I make my reality today. If it is my business or personal life I don’t want to miss out on life. It’s important because you never know when it’s your last breath and my daughter is watching me.
