Today we’d like to introduce you to Alaysia Belle.

Hi Alaysia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I originally took an interest in esthetics in 2016 after having my son. I went through postpartum depression and anxiety after having him. In that year, I took an interest in makeup. I would follow makeup tutorials on YouTube until I got REALLY good at it and people started to notice. I would be asked to do makeup for weddings, photoshoots, special events, etc. In which I did. But I wanted to make sure I was going about it the right way. I looked up what certifications and licenses does a makeup artist needs to perform services. That’s when I ran across esthetician courses. I applied for a program in my area years later in 2019 and graduated in 2020. The rest went from there!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, I’ve had a total of one storefront and 2 suites. It’s been a journey to sustain clients, watch overhead, and keep up with your own personal life and family. It can all get tough and overwhelming but it’s all about what you do to bounce back.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m currently a licensed esthetician who specializes in full body waxing with a focus on Brazilian waxing. I’m also a beauty content creator who teaches women how to do their own makeup on my social platforms like TikTok and Instagram. I’m also currently in nursing school to broaden my service offerings. Currently I’m most proud to have been accepted into the program.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck, I believe in hard work, dedication, talent, and passion. Also in putting God first before all.
