Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelica Bailey.

Hi Angelica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started to braid hair at 11 years old.

Practicing myself and family members I became skilled. In 2009, I taught myself to Retwist locs. After years of practicing, I have become the skilled loctician that I am today!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. I had to learn patience with doing hair.

I taught myself everything I know about doing hair so I had to understand that patience was the key for me to mastering what I was trying to do whether it’s braided or locs.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a hairstylist that specializes in locs. I am well known for doing locs!

I am most proud of the name I have made for myself by doing locs. I never would’ve imagined being known as well as I am by complete strangers.

What sets me apart from others is that I genuinely care about people’s hair and I take the time to service them and treat them how I would like to be treated.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson we learned was never to give up on your talents I stopped doing hair for a while but when Covid hit, I started back and now I have gained so many new clients that I can’t believe it myself.
