Life & Work with Athina Mancia of North Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Athina Mancia.

Hi Athina , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with social media began years ago, long before I ever imagined it becoming my full-time career. What started as a passion has evolved into a business where I help brands and small businesses build a meaningful, elevated presence online.

After years in the corporate world, I recently made the transition into entrepreneurship and social media management full-time. Today, I have the opportunity to bring my clients’ visions to life, combining creativity, strategy, and everything I’ve learned through hands-on experience, trial and error, and continued education.

I’m also a proud mom of two beautiful daughters, recently engaged, and we live just outside of Raleigh in a peaceful little corner of North Carolina. I’m originally from Honduras and have called North Carolina home since I was 19.

I feel incredibly grateful to be building a career that allows me to do what I love while sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve gained along the way to help other businesses grow, elevate their brands, and confidently show up online.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road, but I honestly wouldn’t change the challenges I’ve experienced along the way. Every obstacle has taught me something, helped me grow, and prepared me for where I am today.

There have been moments of uncertainty, having to learn things through trial and error, and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. But I’ve always tried to take the lesson, move forward, and keep going. Looking back, so many of those experiences have given me the perspective and confidence I have today.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’m definitely a true-crime girly, so YouTube is probably one of my most-used apps outside of work. I’m always watching a good true-crime documentary or diving into a fascinating story.
