Life & Work with Dominique Adams-Hardman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Adams-Hardman.

Hi Dominique, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
I started the creative process of unjaded Hearts mid-January 2021. November 2020, I lost someone significant to me, and shortly after I lost my job, multiple friends, and my old self. I realized that I was experiencing an awakening, and it just wasn’t that my luck or God was against me. I needed to find a way to cope through such a dark time, so I picked up journaling and meditation to ease my mind, and soon I got into research about self-healing, crystals, and spirituality as a whole. I wanted to share what crystals, manifestations, self-improvement, and perseverance was to anyone that was experiencing an internal battle like I was. March 13th, 2021, I launched and received abundance of support and sold out within 1 week. I never expected to ship over 3,000 packages to couple countries & 40/50’ states, but I’m so I happy I did and that I’ve been given an opportunity to help heal myself, others, and inspire many. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The first couple years of my business was very smooth! Because it was fueling my passion. As my success increases, I had to stop looking at it as a hobby and start looking at as a business. For a while, I changed the foundation of my business because it was more convenient for the demand. As I’ve reflected over changes, I’ve found myself going back to the foundation and creating and hand-making what feels like me. Through that process, I’ve learned authenticity as a small business is key and that a manufacturer is not the perfect fit for my business. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I create handmade jewelry and sell spiritual healing tools, and I’m most known for my custom one-of-a-kind stacked sets! What I am most proud of is probably my consistency and work ethic; you never what’s in you until you find the perfect passion to bring it out of you. I feel like what sets me apart from others is definitely my creativity and customer interaction. My drive truly comes from the strangers that are supporting another stranger (me)! It shows how many genuine people there are in this world. 

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m definitely a risk-taker! There’s been multiple times I’ve spent everything I’ve had just to get myself right. I truly believe it just takes one good restock, one great follower, one great reel, or one great TikTok, or one great conversation to get to where you want to be. So, my advice to myself always and anyone else is to keep trying over and over again until you win, and after you win, try to win again.
