Life & Work with Dr. Rita Renee’

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Rita Renee’.

Dr. Rita Renee’

Hi Dr. Renee’, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been one of resilience, growth, and a deep desire to empower others, especially women, to reclaim their voices. I am the proud wife of an incredible man, Benjamin Gibson, and the mother of four remarkable children—Natasha, Machelle, Ben Jr., and Daniel, along with our loyal pit bull, Spurgeon.

My upbringing was far from easy; challenges and difficulties marked it. Despite the obstacles, I found my calling in nursing, dedicating over 30 years to the profession. Remarkably, I’ve spent nearly two decades with the same company, a testament to my commitment and passion for healthcare.

Driven by the struggles and challenges faced by the women in my life, ministry, and business, I pursued and earned a doctorate in divinity and Psychocentric therapy, specializing in Biblical Counseling. This academic pursuit was more than just a credential; it was a pathway to understanding and addressing the profound impact of abuse—something I, too, experienced both as a child and an adult.

My personal journey shaped a deep-seated desire to help other women break their silence, emerge from the shadows, and step onto stages with authority and unapologetic confidence. This passion led to the creation of the Ultimate PowerHouse Coach, a platform dedicated to assisting women in finding their voices, reclaiming their power, and sharing their stories authentically.

The Ultimate PowerHouse Coach is more than a profession; it’s a mission to guide women through the process of rediscovering their strength, resilience, and self-worth. My commitment is rooted in the belief that every woman has a powerful story to tell and deserves to be heard. Through coaching, mentoring, and support, I strive to empower women to rise above their challenges, just as I did, and to become the authors of their own narratives.

In the journey of life, I’ve learned that our past does not define us; instead, it serves as a steppingstone to a brighter, more empowered future. Through my work, I aim to inspire women to embrace their voices, stand tall, and live life on their terms.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a writer and international speaker, the road to where I am today has been far from smooth. Despite my aspirations, numerous people close to me doubted my capabilities. Their lack of belief in my potential became constant, causing me to question myself and my abilities.

The journey was a battle against external challenges and an internal struggle against self-doubt. It’s disheartening when those you care about don’t share your vision and instead project their fears onto you. The skepticism from others made me confront moments of insecurity, making me wonder if their doubts reflected my limitations.

However, facing these challenges, I found the resilience to push forward. I learned to separate their doubts from my self-worth and abilities. Overcoming these obstacles became a crucial part of my journey, reinforcing my belief in myself and my capacity to achieve my goals.

The struggles, though difficult, ultimately shaped me into a stronger individual. They taught me to trust my abilities, even when surrounded by skepticism. As a writer and international speaker, I’ve understood that the path to success is rarely smooth, but the challenges make the victories all the more rewarding.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Welcome to the transformative realm of ULTIMATEPOWERHOUSECOACH.com, where I, as Your Ultimate PowerHouse Coach, lead a dedicated team on a mission to unearth, liberate, and amplify the voices that have long dwelled in silence. My specialization lies in guiding abused women who have endured coercive relationships through a holistic journey of self-discovery and expression. We embark on a path that begins with the gentle whispers of the heart, progresses through the courageous act of putting pen to paper, and culminates in a resounding proclamation across impactful platforms. This is not just a coaching service; it’s a transformative experience that empowers individuals to break free from the confines of silence and share their narratives with boldness and authenticity.

I take immense pride in the countless stories we’ve helped bring to light, the individuals who have found their strength through our guidance, and the collective empowerment that ripples through the narratives we shape. It’s more than just a business; it’s a movement to shatter silence, celebrate inherent strength, and set stories ablaze in the world.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Certainly! Finding a mentor and effective networking are crucial to personal and professional growth. Here are some pieces of advice that have worked well:

Clarify Your Goals:

Before you seek a mentor or networking, please explain your goals and what you hope to achieve. I want you to know that knowing your objectives will help you identify the right mentors and connections.

Attend Events and Conferences:

Attend industry-specific events, conferences, and workshops. These gatherings provide excellent opportunities to meet experienced professionals and potential mentors. Actively participate in discussions and approach people with genuine interest.

Utilize Online Platforms:

Join professional networking platforms like LinkedIn. Create a detailed profile highlighting your skills, experiences, and goals. Actively engage with relevant content, join groups, and connect with professionals in your field.

Informational Interviews:

Request informational interviews with professionals you admire. These interviews are not job interviews but opportunities to learn from someone experienced. Prepare thoughtful questions and show genuine interest in their insights.

Utilize Alumni Networks:

Could you tap into your school or university alum network? Alums often have a strong connection with their alma mater and may be more willing to help fellow graduates.

Join Professional Associations:

Become a member of professional associations related to your field. Attend their events, participate in discussions, and take advantage of mentorship programs they may offer.

Be Genuine and Authentic:

When networking, be authentic and genuine. People appreciate the sincerity. Share your goals and interests and listen actively to others. Building authentic connections often leads to meaningful mentorships.

Offer Value:

Networking is a two-way street. Offer value to your connections. Share relevant articles and insights or connect them with someone who may benefit from their expertise. Building a mutually beneficial relationship is critical.

Utilize Existing Connections:

Take notice of your existing network. Friends, family, and colleagues may know someone who can offer valuable insights or mentorship. Could you let your network know what you’re looking for?

Persistence and Patience:

Building meaningful connections takes time. Be persistent in your efforts, but also be patient. Genuine relationships are cultivated over time.

In my experience, a combination of online and offline networking and a sincere and proactive approach has been effective. Remember, the key is to find a mentor and build authentic and mutually beneficial relationships that contribute to your growth and those around you.
