Today we’d like to introduce you to Ella Beute.
Hi Ella, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
For most of the 17 years of my life, I’ve lived in Michigan. About a year and a half ago, I moved to North Carolina. I’ve loved to perform and have been putting on performances and musical numbers for my family for as long as I can remember.
When people would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was usually something along the lines of, ” a popstar art teacher that plays the drums and cooks”. While that sounds absolutely exhilarating, acting has become a much bigger passion of mine in recent years. performing is my outlet.
It gives me a chance to show people my passion, and what I am capable of! After moving to NC, I started taking acting and modeling classes. I got to learn a lot and I was able to take myself a lot more seriously. Since completing the classes, I have filmed many auditions, and have tried to take every opportunity to start trying to put myself out there! I love everything about the arts, and although it’s competitive, I don’t plan on stopping any time soon!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I was bullied when I was younger, and that lead me to be quite lonely. Going through all the hardships then, 100% is the reason I am who I am now. I’ve gained a lot of confidence since then, and being bullied forced me to mature a lot faster than most. One of the biggest things I learned was how to be a good friend, and not only a friend but how to stick up for myself and advocate for others.
I know what it feels like to feel unwanted and uncared for, and I will do anything in my power to help prevent anyone from feeling that way. These past two years have been hard, and Corona sure has been no help. I struggled hard with mental health, I left my school, family, and friends with no real goodbye.
I left my childhood home, and moved across the US whilst also in a pandemic, and am still trying to meet people and make friends, in a time where we’re prevented from meeting people and making friends. None of this has been easy, and almost zero fun, but it gave me time to learn how to appreciate and take care of myself, as well as time to learn new things about me.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Right now, I am perusing a career in TV acting, and performing arts as a whole. I am putting my skills to practice by taking a dance class, participating in my school’s chamber choir, and doing pretty much any artistic activity I can get my hands on.
As of now, I’m planning on going to a two-year college to further my knowledge of American Sign Language, whilst also perusing and working towards a career on the stage or TV screen. Personally, I am most proud of my work ethic. Being mostly self-taught, hearing from professionals that I’m headed in the right direction is very encouraging. This is my passion project.
What sets me apart from others is that I am well-rounded in many forms of art. I sing at a high level, dance, play guitar and ukulele, I am almost fluent in American Sign Language, and I am the only female I know personally that plays drum set/percussion. I love to show off my skills and am always ready and excited to improve!
