Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Art has been a central part of my life, and it feels as though The Art of Henna chose me rather than the other way around. My journey began when I volunteered to do henna at my daughter’s school event for their International Day for two consecutive years. Everyone appreciated my work, word spread, and soon people started approaching me for henna appointments. This experience inspired me to establish my own henna business.

In 2018, I founded “Artistic Henna LLC” and started offering henna appointments for weddings, guest events, and custom mehndi designs. Over the next two years, I also conducted henna programs across all regional libraries. These interactions helped me understand that people were not only seeking intricate designs but also an authentic and organic henna experience. They wanted insights into the art—its cultural significance, spiritual symbolism, chemistry, and safety aspects—as well as a connection to the tradition itself.

Through Artistic Henna LLC, I created a comprehensive henna experience. Clients gained access to my knowledge of ingredients, safe organic henna, and the care required for long-lasting results. My impromptu creativity, professionalism, and expertise in design further solidified their trust, leading to repeat appointments and a loyal client base.

What excites me most about this journey is my passion for crafting unique designs and educating people about organic henna and its cultural importance. This art form gives me creative freedom, allows me to meet people from diverse backgrounds, and has taken me to places I might not have otherwise explored.

For me, henna is more than just an art form. It’s a fusion of creativity, therapy, and human connection. It offers fresh perspectives and has transformed me into a full time Artrepreneur . Artistic Henna LLC represents the perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and excellence.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
During the Initial years there were a lot of learnings , with respect to running the business, dealing with customers, sales , Networking, managing appointments , customer communication.

Along the way with time I learnt quickly to adapt and navigate when and where ever there was a challenging situation.

I believe as you learn and grow , you turn obstacles in to opportunities.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Throughout this journey, my family has been my greatest support. My husband encouraged me to follow my passion for art and turn it into a business. My daughter not only challenged me with creative design ideas, such as mixing traditional elements with modern concepts, but she also became my henna hand model. A very close group of friends I met after moving to North Carolina served as my cheerleaders, providing unwavering encouragement along the way.

I also owe immense gratitude to fellow local business owners, local corporate businesses, wedding vendors, Henna clients, and Art collectors. Their love, support, and referrals have been instrumental in the growth of Artistic Henna LLC.
