Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Comer and Tori West.
Hi Grace and Tori, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Grace and I (Tori) have known each other our whole lives. We both started working in the wedding industry in high school! We became super close in college, obsessing over our favorite YouTube makeup gurus.
We always talked about the dream of teaming up to work together in the beauty industry but weren’t sure how to go about it. We took a chance, enrolled in beauty school together, and haven’t looked back. The Beauty Tribe was created in 2018 and what a wild ride it’s been!!
Currently, The Beauty Tribe travels the entire state servicing brides every weekend! We have completed over 200 weddings as a company and are continuously growing our team. We truly love what we do!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely been challenging. Since our business is mainly targeted at the wedding industry, Covid-19 was an extremely difficult obstacle to move through. Everyone in the wedding industry was dramatically affected by the inability to host events for the better part of 2020.
In 2021, Grace and I (Tori) both went full time to really dedicate ourselves to growing the business and recovering from those negative effects. It was the best decision because we were busier than ever!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The Beauty Tribe is a hair and makeup company that specializes in creating a premier onsite beauty experience for weddings and events. We believe that the process of getting ready should be a fun and relaxing experience for everyone!
We feel honored to be a part of so many brides’ most special days of their lives! I feel we have become known for creating trendy yet timeless looks that enhance one’s natural beauty.
The onsite aspect of our experience is something that people do find value in and it sets us apart.
What matters most to you? Why?
In our business, making our clients happy is truly the most important thing to us! We want to establish connections with our clients so they feel valued and understood.
