Today we’d like to introduce you to Jinessa Council.
Hi Jinessa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always loved colorful, bright, creative, and unique things. I also have a love for cups. I always bought unique cups from gas stations, coffee bars, and department stores but none of them had my name on it. I have a unique name, and I knew that it would be hard to find one with name on it. So, I started watching videos and joined social media groups that customized t-shirts, blankets, door signs, and TUMBLERS. I instantly fell in love with the different mediums like glitter, paint, epoxy, UV resin, vinyl etc…My first customer was myself with my very own Dallas Cowboys tumbler. I posted the tumbler on my social media and everyone loved it. I instantly got orders for 2 more of the same style. That cup remains the most requested of any tumbler design.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like with any great thing comes challenges…My biggest issue is the demand and having the space to get the orders and supplies shipped or personally delivered. My business is growing and I’m trying to keep up with the flow.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I call myself a tumbler artist because I paint, sculpt, glitter, sand, and epoxy tumblers. My specialty is tumblers but, I also make rugs, door hangers, party favors/decor, and wreaths. I’m most proud of my tumblers because of the joy it gives me to create a tumbler from bare stainless steel. Once it’s done, I have created something that people carry around and smile while holding it. The fun characters that I add, bring out the kids in full grown adults. Or pictures of lost ones that I add brings some solace and sweet memories to the customer. The sports fanatics can add their favorite team and watch the game with their tumbler filled with their favorite beverage and cheer them on to a win. It brings me joy to know that the customer enjoys their purchase.
Any big plans?
My next plans are to get an office space or building to make my tumblers and display other projects in. The space will also be available for other small businesses to display some of their products to help with exposure and sales.
