Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since we have opened we have always been a place where people could come to relax and have a drink. Our slogan started as “Where craft meets comfort!”. We started off focusing on craft beer and burgers, but have evolved to a place that has options for everyone. We have created an environment over the past few years that is well known for much more than just burgers and beer. Our staff understands the importance of making people feel welcome and comfortable whenever someone opens our doors. Apart from two golf simulators in the restaurant, we offer 36 different craft beers of all kinds, cocktails, mixed drinks, non alcoholic options, and a wonderful bourbon selection. As for food we have really tried to expand on the options that we offer. Although we focus mostly on many different burgers and wings we have wonderful shareable items, fries, salads, sandwiches, and a newer addition to us, chicken tenders. We have hosted company happy hours, private parties, family gatherings, networking events, and much more. We look forward to having repeat customers who enjoy the experience!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not always been easy but we would like to think we are growing each day. There has been many months that have been slower than most. Kitchen upgrades, staffing shortages, weather, and many more things. The hardest challenge we have had is getting our business/experience out there for people to enjoy!

My name is Luke Baldwin. I am the general manager of the Iron Oaks. I am responsible for maintaining the overall experience for the guests. Apart from keeping the beer taps full, wine stocked and liquor ordered, I also help with menu creation. The most important aspect of my job is creating an environment where both staff and guests can enjoy themselves. This is what I am most proud of. Over the past year and a half we have had many customers turn into friends who know us all by name. Our customer service is something that we take pride in and we are working towards improving every day. We contain a little something for everyone’ no matter who you are or what you like. What sets us apart from others is that we are a true restaurant that provides more than just bar food, we contain two high end golf simulators, we have 36 craft beer lines that focuses mostly on North Carolina breweries, and our atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.
