Today we’d like to introduce you to Myles Brown.
Hi Myles, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Myles Brown, and I am the owner of JUST A CRAZY ILLUSTRATOR LLC. I am an artist from Raleigh, North Carolina. My love of art came from my first art show at the KALEIDOSCOPE ART SHOW in the Cary Towne Mall when I was a child. Ever since that showcase, I could never leave my passion for the art alone.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
It has been a smooth road to working with others and finding new people to work with. My biggest struggles would have to be how difficult it can be to balance work life and school simultaneously. I go to Wake Technical Community College and am there to earn a degree in Business Administration: Marketing. This has helped me learn how to balance multiple responsibilities at once.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work specializes in both Asian and European Nature. I used to watch Anime growing up regularly, which is where I started getting interested in Asian Nature. Ironically, I got my love of European Nature from studying art history in high school. My love of nature led me to adopt surrealistic painting and digital drawing styles. For clients who want something different, I am capable of illustrating both realistic and abstract designs as well.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
My favorite medium to illustrate with is Acrylic Paint. I say that’s surprising because so much of my sales and client work involves digital illustrations.

Some truly amazing work here! I love the combination of brushstrokes with texture, and the amazing brush and typography connection. This is the kind of style that Raleigh needs more of. I smell a children’s book deal. Really great imagery, thank you for bringing this to the fore!
