Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Goode

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have loved architectural design and building with my hands since I was 5 years old. My parents cultivated that love and eventually when I went to college I received a Masters of Architecture. While in college, though, my mom began to pray and ask God what her and I could do together as a hobby. He told her jewelry and from there our business took off. I began to make clay beads and take unique gems/beads that I found at Micheal’s to create these architecturally based necklaces. We began to think of this as more than a hobby so we decided to name our newfound business Periwinkle Fresh. As I grew older, I began to simplify the designs while still using architecture as the basis of design. When the designs became more polished, we realized that we had outgrown our name so we changed it to Vonn Frais, Vonn being a shortened version of my mom’s middle name Yvonne and Frais being the French word for fresh. I began to grow in my relationship with not only my mom but Christ. When this happened my design had direction and we began to solely focus on earrings. From the shape of the earring to the use of materials all of these things were downloaded by the Holy Spirit. Vonn Frais is meant to be a bright light in an industry where customers place a lot of their hope in objects versus in the God that created the universe. We hope to not only create beautiful earrings but also create an avenue for people that are Christ curious or for those who are already believers to be elevated in fashion, mind, and heart.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to Vonn Frais has not been easy. From marriage to adding in children, I have had to start and stop whether it’s not making jewelry for a period of time or not posting to social media as often. I do believe though now is the time for Vonn Frais to truly operate as God intended. I needed to find my worth and in 2024 I was able to do that and truly hear where God wanted to plant me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We design earrings for the elevated style. From the hoop shape to the use of Preciosa crystals as well as gold filled elements, we want to give the customer a product that will last and stand out whether that is for brunch, a job interview, vacation, etc. We also offer unisex tees and sweatshirts that can either be used as elevated loungewear or upgraded casual styling.

I am most proud of the beauty of the earring itself. It is just one of those designs that will stand the test of time.

I think our messaging is what sets apart from others. Our tag line is “Be light. Be salt. Be fresh.” Each line is take from a passage in the Bible. Be light = your story should be a light to others and guide them to Christ (Luke 11:33-36). Be salt = your character should be flavorful (Mark 9:50). Be fresh = your style (Proverbs 31:25).

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I think in a world where success is defined by followers and influencers, I define it as allowing God to consume you so much that you can only see forward when He is leading. Success is being shown your heart and instead of running leaning into your Creator more. Success is allowing your business to be torn down so that He can help you discover what it was truly meant to be all along. Success is understanding the uniqueness that God gave you and not looking at it as weak but knowing He gave you that uniqueness to build others.
