Life & Work with Sabine Deans of Henderson NC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabine Deans.

Hi Sabine , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story really starts in Germany that’s where I was born and raised, and where I eventually became an Army wife. During that time, I was very involved in the community and volunteered whenever I could to support other military families. Those experiences really shaped my love for helping people and staying connected.

Even while working full-time, I stayed active in the military community as much as I could. Once we moved out of that environment, I wasn’t able to volunteer as much, but I got involved in animal rescue work which I absolutely loved. But over time, it became hard to balance that with a full-time job and providing for my family, especially after I became a single mom. I knew I needed something more something that gave me freedom, purpose, and still let me help people.

A little over four years ago, I came across the opportunity to become a travel agent, and it just felt right. People love to travel, and I love being part of helping them create experiences and memories that last a lifetime. That’s how Heiden Travelverse came to life the name Heiden actually comes from my maiden name. I wanted something close to my heart, something that truly meant something to me, because this business isn’t just about travel it’s personal. It represents family, connection, and the memories we create along the way

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely never been easy. When you’re starting something new, you really have to prove yourself. You have to keep pushing, stay consistent, and keep showing up even when you don’t have the clients or the community you’d like to have yet. There are moments where it feels challenging, but that’s part of the process.

It’s always a continuous learning journey, and every stage brings something new to figure out. But I knew it was worth it every single minute of it. So I just dedicated as much time and energy as I could, stayed focused, and trusted that the hard work would eventually pay off. And honestly, it has

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in cruises and all-inclusive vacations, but I also create customized itineraries.

My focus is helping people make lifelong memories. I take time to really get to know my clients what they enjoy, what matters to them, and the little details that make a trip special.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come. Starting something new isn’t easy, but I stayed consistent and built a business that helps people create memories that last a lifetime.

What sets me apart is the personal connection. I don’t just book trips; I build relationships. My clients know I’m paying attention, that I care about their experience from start to finish, and that I’m always here to make sure their travel goes smoothly.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that might surprise people is that I’ve actually received several awards for my volunteer work as a military spouse. When I lived in Germany, I volunteered with the American Red Cross on the military installation, helping make sure everything ran smoothly and that families had the support they needed.

A big part of my time as a volunteer was spent helping other spouses and families during deployments making sure they were cared for and never felt alone. That experience really shaped who I am today. It taught me the importance of connection, compassion, and community
