Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Hendley-Hunter.
Hi Sabrina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Aneisha and I were working in corporate America, and to be honest, we were drained! We worked in a high-level stressed environment and the job demanded and took a lot from us. It left us little time for ourselves, or our families mainly our children.
When Covid-19 happened and affected many people’s jobs we were fortunate enough to be able to work from home. Working from home having the extra time with our children let us know that we didn’t want to miss out on any more important things in life because this was what was important… Family. We set our minds towards starting a business and we began to do our research and we came across Selfie Wrld. We thought what a magnificent idea, and from then on out we just set everything in motion.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, and we don’t want to be misleading… starting a business is not easy and it is not for the weak. We ran into many obstacles along the way and we got many no’s or many doors were closed in our face, we had to quickly learn how to get up brush ourselves off, and try and again!
Our persistence was key! Our determination carried us, and our faith in God allowed us to keep going.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Selfie Wrld Fayetteville is a creative innovative space for content creators. We cater to photographers, models, bloggers, singing/rap artists, etc.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Well in all honestly people love to use the term networking or mentoring but we have come to find out is that networking and mentoring is not cheap! As a start-up business, there have been several opportunities that we would have loved to have been able to take advantage of but due to funding, we were not able to.
We have done well from word of mouth from our faithful customers as well as the Westwood Shopping Center management has been awesome in paying for promotional advertisement and helping host events for us that bring us great exposure.
