Today we’d like to introduce you to Shumon Hudson.
Hi Shumon, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always enjoyed the arts (writing, singing, speaking). I’m a creative and have been since my early years. of life. This carried over to my adult life and is the peace that I find in a busy day.
I am proof that a harmonious relationship between ambition and joy exists. I discovered the sweet spot of being a dedicated wife and mom of four sons while chasing my dreams as a successful businesswoman, seasoned artist and entrepreneur. I am a Healthcare Reimbursement and Market Access Expert in the biopharmaceutical industry. I obtained her bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and a master’s degree in organizational management from Ashford University.
As a best-selling author, motivational speaker, and soul stirring vocalist, my work has been featured on various platforms. I find great joy in my roles as a mom, wife, and GiGi. I love spending time with my family and close friends, cooking up delectable dishes to nourish their tummies, expressing myself through the pages of books that unlock truths within my heart, crafting music that soothes my soul and those around me, and providing thought-provoking motivation and inspiration to maintain balance within my life.
I am thankful for every hardship that I have endured, having transformed me into the woman I am today. Through it all, I learned to trust in God and to have confidence in myself. i now live in harmony in all facets of life, aspiring for excellence with every move I make.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Anything worth having is worth working hard for. There are always some challenges in the process. I have experienced negativity from surprisingly some women on my book topic Raising Kings and have spoken publicly about why I wrote the book and who it is intended for.
As a motivational speaker and author it is also a challenge finding your niche and marketing. That is something that is still a work in progress.

I’m most known for my singing voice. I believe what sets me apart is my desire to ensure each client is happy. I engage myself into their wants for their special and ensure that I meet and exceed that.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family played a big role in my success in these areas. They are always mentioning my names in rooms where I am not present. I also have a great friend group who shares opportunities with me and connects me with great people that I can share my story with.
My cousin encouraged me to write “Raising Kings” as she felt it would help some boy moms out here in the world.
